All I will say about Prisoners of a Ghostland is that it is wild.

As soon as I get the Shudder app sorted, it'll be my first watch. I've heard more bad than good about it, but I was anticipating it too much to not dive in as soon as I can (I'm even refusing to stream it until I can register a watch with the service).

I wasn't feeling this movie when I saw it either. Here is my post about it:

That's pretty much 100% co-sign from me. Definitely feels like friends made a project for some fun during pandemic downtime. The benefit being great chemistry and the downside being the horror itself.

Safer At Home was trash.
That movie was so anti-climatic, and predictable. The “twist” ending with the dead girl was stupid. Lmaoff- it was supposed to be a serious moment but I fell out laughing. With the exception of HOST, most of the “covid pandemic quarantine zoom” subgenre of movies were basura. I think HOST set such a high bar that anything less has been mid to mediocre in comparison.

This news upsets me greatly.:stopitslime:

Ethan Hawke’s ‘The Black Phone’ Shifts to Summer Release

Damn…
But it sounds well worth the wait-
When its trailer was first unveiled at CinemaCon in August, Hawke said in a pre-taped clip that he broke his “no bad guys” rule for the film, while Blum touted it as the scariest film he’s ever worked on to date.
:damn::damn:
“The movie promises pure dread as Thames is tortured by Hawke, fond of donning terrifying masks and taunting him with stories of previous basement tenants and his own childhood,” Donnelly wrote of the trailer. “The supernatural is introduced via the phone calls, where the spirits of fallen children attempt to help Thames escape, leaving clues and life hacks in his physical space.”

I didn't like Psycho Goreman:yeshrug:

The best parts were the flashbacks to PGs origins, and the power rangers fight in the woods. The little girl was alright but every other human character were terrible.

Edit: Maybe I shouldn't be so harsh on the movie. I've seen some really bad ones this year and this wasn't the worst. Bless the Child might be the worst. Kim Basinger was terrible in that movie. Angela Bettis was good in it th ough as she normally is. I'd watch PG over watching Old again.

It looks sooo good! I might cop the Joe Hill (son of Stephen King) anthology it's in and see how it reads...I love horror short stories and haven't read him yet, but Stephen King's son is worth a look (plus NOS4A2 and Locke and Key are both creative concepts).
