I have mentioned this one before but it was a decent movie: Last ShiftNah, most of the reviews for it I saw were pretty unfavourable, so I didn't bother.

As above so below
If you're claustrophobic yeah but you can watch the descent
I watch this just about every year around this time as a refresher. They should make an updated one. What do you guys think about the list?

Had to have been FearFestI remember there was a period of a few years where AMC during October would basically play Halloween 4/5 on a loop all month with an occasional Child's Play sequel in the rotation. Like...that was it. All month.

I wonder....did Anchor Bay ever have the rights to release 700 versions of Child's Play 2?They still do that, usually starts around the 17th of every October
@Jello Biafra . wish I could rep you gazillion timesCool list...there are a couple films on the list I haven't seen that I will be adding to my Halloween Month of horror viewing.
This one quote from the author about Psycho is so true and highlights one of my biggest issues with most slasher films of the last 20-30 years:
I hate watching any type pf horror film but especially a slasher film where the victims are all just interchangeable ciphers who I don't give a damn about. Making the audience care about a character before they get brutally murdered is one of the best ways to get an emotional response from people.
And while I have never considered Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte to be a horror film, even though it gets categorized as such by a lot of people, I am glad it was added to the list so hopefully it will get horror heads to check it out. The movie is one of my all-time favorites. DeHavilland and Davis give tour de force performances in this movie.

....old-school horror characters were flesh out (pun intended) to the point you felt it when they inevitably got gutted up New School horror flimsy cornball characters makes you yearn for their FATALITY quicker Lowkey, Horror movies scores doesn't get enuff credit for its brooding soundscapes Sometime the foreboding music alone, keeps you watching despite other flaws. And, producers (like how RZA/Havoc/ALC did) could Go HAM with those sinister loops
@MartyMcFly , that list gave me some new PIFF to check out
