My brother made me watch that movie, repetitively.

I didn’t have a choice of what to watch

The only part that really shook me was the hand puppet animal shadow that the clown made; that ate the person. But I ended up just going with the flow and liking stuff they watched. Reminiscent childhood memories- like a human cotton candy coc00n was normal. Lol. Parental tv supervision was at an all time low in that space and time.

Gremlins had me edge also

I saw American Ultra at a sneak preview when it first came out. I loved the movie upon first watch and then I went with my brother to see it once it was in wide release and still loved it.
I think a lot of the hate it got was based on it being the in thing to hate on Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart at the time.

Gremlins is the first horror that I got my goddaughter to watch. She loved most of it but of all scenes, the gremlin in a blender had her jumping off the couch .

She dressed as pennywise for Halloween! My fam is horror movie fanatics through and through.

Watching now, GREAT Score for it and I think that really helps a horror. The violence is brutal and the situation is foul. It's been pretty good so far, but a little disorienting with some of the time shifts and jumps...I hope they put some pieces together because I'm hella confused, but it's still a good watch so far.

Edit: The twist ruined it for me...great start, last third of the movie blows all the good creepy vibes though.

Any body watch classic horror movie on Netflix yet?

I started but had the stop at the 30min mark. Back on it - the premise and set up of the evil conjuring of the 3 demonic entities for the town ritual -I like it. I have high expectations going into Italian and Spanish horror/thriller/mystery movies bc they’ve really leveled up on the genre with these movie and series entries this year and last.
Whereas Netflix America originals (prior to the Fear Street compilations and Army of the Dead)have been pure shyt.

I’ll let you know my final reaction when I finish watching.

Wrong Turn: Italy/Hills of Eyes but smarter with “Saw” contraptions and more psychological - foreign squad with another horror win.

This movie was definitely was “inspired” by a scene in House of Wax though. “Homage to Throwback Slashers” is the new subgenre of slasher movies.
