I'm rewatching the saw films.

First one is still great. Elwes and whannel's acting is hilarious though :lolbron:. Film really isn't gorey. Most of it just implied instead of shown

Saw 2 was :ehh:. I enjoyed Donnie and the house was pretty good. This is where the franchise started becoming true torture porn. The needle pit is still :damn:

Just finished saw 3 last night. Gonna watch 4 tonight.

The third is probably my least favorite one next to 7. At least from memory. I remember enjoying 4-6 more than I did 2 or 3. I'll see how I feel now.

Anyway yeah the third was :ld: it's where it started getting convoluted and I really didn't care for the Amanda character or her arc. The traps were :ohlawd: best of the first 3. That pig machine :krs: homey getting his bones all broken :ooh:. Donnie going to town on his foot

I didn't realize Leigh whannel wrote the first 3. Thought he just did the first.

I recommend Home Movie(2008)
In the remote woods of Upstate New York, David and Clare Poe are attempting to live an idyllic life. However, their twin children's bizarre behavior might just tear the family apart.
Saw it a few years back, I feel it's overlooked and deserves more appreciation.

It's not one of those "LOUD JUMP SCARE!" type films which are constantly released and aren't scary, it's one of those slow build and creepy films that ramps up the tension over time. It's worth a watch and it's only 76 minutes! Not a huge time investment at all, check it out. A hidden gem for sure.

anyone else know about this film..

The Void..
The Void (2016) - IMDb

in the middle of a routine patrol, officer Daniel Carter happens upon a blood-soaked figure limping down a deserted stretch of road. He rushes the young man to a nearby rural hospital staffed by a skeleton crew, only to discover that patients and personnel are transforming into something inhuman. As the horror intensifies, Carter leads the other survivors on a hellish voyage into the subterranean depths of the hospital in a desperate bid to end the nightmare before it's too late.

Terror unfolds inside a deserted hospital in this nightmarish throwback to old-school creature features and practical monster FX

From the distorted imaginations of Steven Kostanski and Jeremy Gillespie, best known as part of the Astron-6 collective (Manborg, Father’s Day), comes a brand new slice of retro terror. Encountering a blood-soaked man on a dark, deserted road, police officer Daniel Carter rushes the stranger to the supposed safety of an eerily quiet local hospital. But while a mysterious congregation of white-cloaked figures begin to gather out front, the unsuspecting staff and patients trapped inside start to undergo a monstrous transformation. Drawing upon the cool aesthetics of early John Carpenter and the gloopy practical effects of vintage Stuart Gordon, The Void may be rife with sly nods and knowing winks, but the result is far more than a game of spot the movie reference. Kostanski and Gillespie have concocted a truly nightmarish mythology all of their own, complete with arresting visuals and a plot as twisted as the horror-obsessed minds from which it came.

IM SOLD!!!!!!
