STAY: Trailer For New Supernatural Horror Film Blends PARANORMAL ACTIVITY With AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL

March 26- amazon prime

(my bad if this was posted already, I didn’t search and it just came across on my gmail newsfeed)

One such horror movie hits Amazon Prime this month called STAY. The trailer for the new film just dropped, with the synopsis stating that the supernatural thriller blends Paranormal Activity with America's Next Top Model.

STAY stars Ashley Park (Rosewood),Jesse LeNoir (Project Runway), and Dre Davis (Pretty Little Liars). The debut film from Brandon Walker follows a model who gains enough success to move into a fancy loft only to lose her grip on reality due to the sinister secrets that live within her new home.

A cautionary tale of ambition gone wrong, STAY blends the allure of America’s Next Top Model with the terror of Paranormal Activity. In the city that never sleeps, Olivia is taking the modeling world by storm. A cover girl in the making, Olivia is booking big clients and bringing her YouTube audience along for the ride. With newly earned cash, she moves into a fashionable loft apartment. Its glossy facade, however, conceals a sinister secret born years before. Suddenly overwrought, her tenuous grip on reality begins to slip away. Beautiful, yet increasingly unstable, Olivia makes a shocking choice that leads to a battle for her soul.

The first offering from the newly formed Ghost Machine Pictures, Stay, will be available on March 26, 2021, on Amazon Prime. I

Sons of Anarchy Creator has a new horror movie in the works through Blumhouse
:ohhh:

Kurt Sutter's 'This Beast': What to Know About 'Sons of Anarchy' Creator's Netflix Film

Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter landed his first big project since leaving Mayans M.C. He will make his directorial debut with This Beast, a period horror film that will be produced by Blumhouse Production's Jason Blum for release on Netflix. Sutter directed a handful of Sons of Anarchy episodes and an episode of The Shield, but this is the first time he is writing and directing a film.

This Beast will be set in an English village during the 18th century. When the village is attacked by a mysterious beast, innocent people are killed and the mayhem inspires religious fanaticism. A lowly trapper promises he can stop the beast and is assigned to kill the beast in a deeply personal mission. Sutter was inspired by The Beast of Gevaudan, a story about a mysterious beast that attacked a French village in the 1760s. Sutter, 60, has also shown an interest in historical settings in the past with The b*stard Executioner, his short-lived follow-up to Sons of Anarchy on FX.

After he’s caught in a tree during his descent and left dangling high above the ground, a paratrooper’s situation is already looking pretty precarious—and then he realizes there’s something lurking in the forest. Directed by Ben and Jacob Burghart, shortSuspense lives up to its title in all the meanings of the word.

Elizabeth Banks Tapped to Direct 'Cocaine Bear' Thriller Inspired by True Events
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actress/filmmaker has signed to direct Cocaine Bear—a Universal Pictures thriller inspired by true events that occurred in the 1980s. The outlet reports the movie will be written by Jimmy Warden and will be produced under Lord Miller’s first-look deal with the studio.

Specific plot details are currently under wraps, but the film will be based on a 1985 incident involving a bear who died of a drug overdose in 1985. A New York Times report states authorities had found the 175-pound animal dead in northern Georgia, where it apparently discovered and consumed a large batch of cocaine. Investigators suspected the drugs were discarded by convicted drug smuggler Andrew Thornton as he was parachuting from a plane he had been piloting.

Thornton, a former narcotics officer, was known as the leader of a Kentucky drug-trafficking ring called “The Company.” His body was found on Sept. 11, 1985 in a Knoxville, Tennessee, residential driveway. It’s believed Thornton’s death was caused by a parachuting accident, as a crashed plane was found nearby in Macon County with no fatalities or survivors.

According to Deadline, production for Cocaine Bear is expected to begin this summer.

KILL LIST - amazon prime
The Underrated Ben Wheatley Horror Movie You Can Stream On Amazon

Long before Ben Wheatley got to make highly anticipated sequels in major Hollywood franchises, he garnered heaps of critical acclaim by helming low-budget British movies in the crime-thriller and horror genres. Kill List, released in 2011, marked the director's second feature, and it's a film that combines all of Wheatley's artistic sensibilities to great effect.

Kill List follows two hitmen — Jay (Neil Maskell) and Gal (Michael Smiley) — who accept an assignment from a shadowy client who likes contracts to be signed in blood. The mysterious individual tasks Jay and Gal with taking out three targets, but as they get deeper into the violent mission, it becomes clear that their client has ulterior motives for one of them. Saying more about the plot would spoil Kill List's unexpected twists and turns, so let's just discuss some elements that make it such a must-see experience if you're in the mood for a proper scare.

Kill List is not a horror movie for the faint-hearted

Horror movies have a tendency to explore the darker side of human nature, and Kill List is as unrelenting in its terror as they come. There's a tangible sense of dread in every frame that will get under the skin of even the most hardcore fans of the genre. The characters spend most of the movie unaware that they're walking into a trap, but for the viewer, it's made clear from the outset that sinister forces are observing Jay and Gal from the shadows at every turn. While some viewers might not sympathize with two contract killers battling for their lives, the film's oppressive atmosphere is enough to induce panic nonetheless.

The movie also contains some moments of wince-inducing violence, including one nasty scene involving a hammer. Violence is often portrayed as gimmicky and, in some cases, fun in horror movies. In Kill List, the bloodletting is just straight-up nasty. In an interview with The Guardian, Wheatley revealed that he wanted to make the gory scenes as "realistic" and "unglamorous" as possible because violence is no laughing matter.

Of course, Wheatley went on to deliver outrageously entertaining moments of gruesomeness in Sightseers and Free Fire, but with Kill List, he was out to make a point and hammer (pun intended) it home.

Kill List helped revive a niche subgenre
