I created a gun trust the past few weeks for NFA items. I have to wait about 6 - 10 months for a suppressor I ordered. Pretty excited.

I paid $300 for an unlimited trust but you can pay as low as $150 from what I've seen. It was just a conversation with a lawyer for 30 minutes then filling out some paperwork, getting it notarized and finally submitted
Respect. Something to look into in the future

there's all sorts of lawyers which mass produce trusts, like this cat does them for $40 on holidays $59.95 NFA Gun Trusts - National Gun Trusts - Delivered in 5 Min. i wouldn't use one of these but i haven't heard any complaints from those who had.

there's all sorts of other bs a trust can help you avoid too, like if your spouse lives with you you need a safe/locked closet for nfa hardware that only you have access to (or your spouse can't ever be alone in the home by themselves lmao). putting it on a trust means you can just leave the shyt laying around. so if you're like me and don't plan on having kids, this saves you the cost of a safe for the annoyance of having to do fingerprint cards.

anything that's already in your name, you're gonna need to pay another tax stamp to transfer it to the trust tho.
