My girl wanted to buy a pink Sccy, but I had heard bad things about the brand and talked her out of it. Can you give us your thoughts after you put some rounds through it?

You should definitely keep it oiled. Moisture ain't gonna do shyt to a firearm. Nor is excessive heat. I've heard the question several times about bullets exploding in excessive heat due to being left in the truck or on the dash, none of that is true.
You can get a silica gel dehumidifer for your gun safe and put it in your glove box but it ain't no thang. If that firing pin strikes the primer it's gonna go bang.
It's the none polymer frames and the steel slides that'll get you. There's times when I take it from the car and put it on my hip and it's hot as hell.....
He's right about there not being such a thing as a girl gun. People always seem to recommend tiny mouse guns for girls too.
But lighter guns are snappier, hasher recoil. A girl is better off using a full size gun to help manage the kick. Otherwise they won't have fun shooting and will never practice.
By full size i mean something at least the size of a glock 19 should work.

G19 is too big (I had one and a 17).. the shield is just right for concealed carry for me.
Yeah that's the huge advantage of the Shield what makes me keep it. I just lately have been training with it less since I've been rocking appendix carry more.
