Its absolutely fire. Mad reliable. I didn't own one but I had one for a little over 6 mos. Long story short, I brought one of my guns into a shop, dude let me hold on to the Canik until mines was done. I may pick one up to add to the collection, they aren't expensive and out of the box it was ready to go.

yep,2.25 inch barrel .357.

might get a longer barrel for it for the recoil, the rubber grips are a must. Shoot .38s are fine though
Yeah, i was looking at those but only 5 shots was the negative and with the weight not being too far off from the gp101 i was going that route, but all the gps were out of stock but near the same cost as the 686s so i got the s&w instead.

I like it, I don't have much to base that on though, I don't have anything to compare to.
I got speed loaders for my two. love the 686+s with my 7 shots.

Was like 450 or so if I remember correctly. Was looking for a budget gun. Also looked at G2C by Taurus. shyt was way too small though.

My main EDC is a Canik SC elite...Got the Swampfox Red dot, its easy to carry and fun to shoot right out the box
just sold my p365 last month and now I’m hunting for an sc elite. Canik is so crazy with the low prices to actually have the best out the box polymer striker fired trigger on the market. Honestly very rare to see a polymer striker trigger with both little take up/ 90 degree break AS WELL AS a super short reset. Also the holster it comes with and iridescent steel sights are pure class from Canik and a lot of companies are gonna get left in the dust eventually. All there missing is the reputation of being a 50,000 round reliable gun and that’s only because how “new” they are as a company compared to glock, s&w , Hk etc…… but u won’t find a better gun for the price IMO.
