Sometimes being in the gray and just being quiet is better than trying to jump through their contradictory hurdles.
youre sounding a bit like the political type gun owners, i understand how they feel. NRA, second amendment, an ar isn't an assault rifle its armalite rah rah,. but thats not really how i am. i don't hate the atf or any weapons bans. I don't feel a need to justify a right to have certain weapons i just have them cause i can. Cause i like them, and when i can't i'll just get rid of them.
that said. they don't just arbitrarily make you a felon and charge you retroactively with crimes committed before they were even crimes. Usually there is a cease and desist' type order and instructions on what to do in order to retain your legality. lest you be charged.
