So I went to the range to shoot XDS .40 I got back in April, first time. Hard Recoil, imma have to get a rubber grip because the stock grip is.
Granted, I'm not an experienced shooter but that leads me to my next prob.
Tried to shoot my friend's .45 left handed...gashed my right thumb and had to 5 stiches. Learned my lesson.

I shoot my 45's ofthen and the recoil is only sorta bad on my revolvers.

His .45 was a 1911 and the recoil on that it wasn't bad. It's just that my dumbass tried to shoot it left handed although I'm right-hand dominant. I didn't grip the pistol with my right hand properly.
The bad recoil I was referring to was on my .40. It's really because of the grip, it's just uncomfortable. I'm about to cop a rubber grip for it.
