I gotta correct myself. Apparently there is a slight chance that no big 12 team will get in the playoff. I honestly don’t see it but who knows.
Its 5 highest ranked conference champions. My question is what about Nortre Dame? Would they supercede a conference champion if they are ranked higher?

Notre Dame won’t get one of those 5 conference championship slots though. The small chance that the Big 12 doesn’t get a team in would be Boise staying ranked higher than the Big 12 champ, and another smaller conference’s champ getting ranked higher than the Big 12 champ.

This is what I wanted to see happen for CFB….My guy Ray Lewis about to have FAU

how the media addresses his obstructing justice in murder case will be interesting.

Prime other than his beefs with media doesn't have anything like that in his past that I'm aware of

I know it's funny to shyt on Dak but he's still an upper echelon QB. Finished 2nd in MVP in 2023 and is still only 31. Only issue is the contract, which I'd assume Cowboys would eat a portion of.

If your starting QB is Will Levis/Bryce Young you don't have any room to dismiss an upgrade at QB.
what's his injury history?

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:

the rankings are being manipulated on purpose. some teams that shouldn't be ranked are to make teams ranked higher that beat them look better in terms of "quality" wins. Boise St. shouldn't be ranked higher than every team in the Big 12. They are basically saying the Mountain West is better than the Big 12, every though the Mountain West doesn't have any teams ranked besides Boise St. Army shouldn't be ranked at all.

When they go to a 16 team playoff, they really should get rid of polls altogether. In this current system, the SEC and Big 10 are being rewarded and catered to for poaching teams from and thus weakening other conferences.

Nah, ND isnt allowed to get a top 4 seed/bye because they're indy. highest they can be is 5th.

but that's how they wanted it. No conf champ game for them is the same as a bye plus no risk of taking that late season L, and they get a home game 1st round vs a weaker opponent.

But would they replace the lowest ranked conference champion? Right now you have SEC, Big 10, ACC, Mountain West, and Big 12 in the top 15. Thats 5, would ND for example get in over the lowest ranked conference champion, if they are ranked higher??

I think the answer is yes. ND has precedent over lowest ranked conference champion. So let's say theoretically they go 12-0 and are #1 in the country......they would get the 5th seed.

I think this is how Colorado could get left out of the playoffs.
