They had to prove they could win. If this was last year, they would have a zero chance of possibly getting a player like Julian Lewis. Seaton going there was huge. And most of the games where they hosted recruits, they won. If they kill this recruiting/portal cycle, it could be a situation where they will have an SEC caliber team playing in the Big 12 and it will be like it was when he was at Jackson St. They will be in the playoffs every year.

If they manage to make it to the playoffs, it will solidify their future in terms of recruiting.
Is Lewis like that? I remember he had a lot of hype a couple years ago.

Still expect a transfer QB to start right?

I been watching all season. Watched Sat since we were off. I was one who questioned the direction and recruiting, but I will say, Prime has turned the program around. QUICKLY too!

I still think he has to recruit, but he defied my expectations. I thought he was in over his head, but he’s proved me otherwise. The real test will be what he does when his boy and Travis leave…but I will come and eat the crow, I got no issues being wrong

And this is where I’m lost. Prime’s 40/40/20 strategy makes logical sense, specifically in this transfer portal era. In addition, he modifies that strategy based on the needs of the program.

It made sense not only to turnaround the program quickly, but to make it sustainable. It won’t surprise be if strategy eventually evolves to predominately high school recruiting.

Fixed that one for ya big dog

He’s young. Young young. He turned 17 less than 2 months ago. He’s a junior in high school that reclassified.

For all we know he could right grow. From what I’ve seen, he doesn’t hold the ball. The offense his team runs is more of a quick struck. He also looks smaller than everyone else. Don’t know if he can run.

So in all honesty, every top play recruited by Colorado is going to get hype surrounding them. People online still talking about Cormani McClain. At the end of the day, Colorado doesn’t have an heir to Shedeur. They lost their only recruit to the portal last year, and another verbal commitment earlier this year. So unless they pull a surprise and sign someone else, he’s probably it.

do you think his brother the QB will stay?

If he wants to see the field as a qb, he probably should consider leaving. He’s too much of an athlete to just rot on the bench. I feel the same way about Walter Taylor. However, CU is probably not the place for them.

Prime is a NFL guy. I don’t think these guys have the type of accuracy that Prime looks for in a quarterback.

When I watched Destin’s high school highlights, he was just running in most of them.

I think we’ll see a very different QB room in the future.
