He's not playing the ones he has now. The 4 star WR hasn't been heard from since or even targerted.
Word is getting out that things are not all that fun at CU

not only that, but let's say he was able to bring in 3 or 4 five star freshman o-lineman. that doesn't mean they're gonna be ready to play next year (and even if they were, good luck on that cause they're about to have one helluva learning curve), or that they're even gonna live up to their high school ranking. when you see the best offensive lines one thing usually stands out - they've been playing together for awhile. that's why you hear commentators talking about how many "starts as a unit" they've had, and it's never one year, it's spread out over 2 and 3 years. The thing is, as @CoryMack pointed out previously, top linemen recruits will continue to go to the traditional schools that are NFL pipelines for that position. The same schools, and conferences.
There's not much of a recruiting pitch you can make to keep them from there, or from the programs in their states that have been soft recruiting them since they were kids.

Yeah, I heard that Colorado had a decent to almost good o-line last year. I bet he wishes he would have taken that first speech back and not asked everyone to jump in the portal. He really needed them hogs, and should have tried to convince them to stay.Yep, the worst thing he could’ve done was run off his linemen. I get the speech but he should have dialed that initial speech back some and figured out a talking path to keep his linemen (at the very least). I wouldn’t care if the other spots dipped but at least figure out how to keep them linemen.
plenty of dudes on this site who played ball in college.I don't know what these dudes talking about in this thread anymore.
"He should have done this, he shouldn't have said that."
Just a lot of folks who have never even played D1 trying to analyze and comment on every decision Coach Prime makes.
These dudes will tell you everything wrong with what someone else is doing without any bona fides of their own, zero.

Deion runs a very undisciplined team. I don't have the numbers on me but they have to be one of the most penalized teams in Div 1. He's gotta tighten that up. He's also made some really curious in-game decisons.plenty of dudes on this site who played ball in college.
i mean, it's hurts your heart that bad to see your precious coach prime get criticized? every other coach and program gets criticism and i don't see nikkas weeping about it then. and i don't see this level of fanaticism for any of the other Black coaches out there either.
and as far as criticism goes, we ain't even been all that critical. it's common sense that you don't just come in and tell your whole team, on camera, to go ahead and transfer without even evaluating those players. and alot of the coaching mistakes he's made are common sense too, like clock management. i mean jesus christ, the dikkriding is pathetic than a muthfukka.
God might be calling him to the Raiders or A&M
