My chromecast was collecting dust for the longest time until I copped a iPhone

Now im using it every day to watch nba games with the game time app

Also watched the ufc ppv this past Saturday using chromecast

Now i just need NFL game pass to get chromecast support and im good

I dont get why you dudes are shelling out money for chromecast. I bought an android stick, full hdmi android plugged into the back of my tv. Full android apps, not a select few casted. Also apps to control the android stick from my phone.

Temporarily, I store most in Mega since it's free 50GB per account. You can stream vids from Mega on mobile.
Streaming mega from the actual desktop can't be done without integrating with an app or putting the link in a site that converts it.
Instead of relying on those other sites or apps I just rather stream from Google Drive (hence temporarily).

My TV only has 2 HDMI ports. One is used for my DirecTV box and the other for my PS4.

You can plug up the direct TV box with component cables, You can get a Soundbar that has multiple HDMI ports on it, You can get an HDMI switch.
I don't know how you get by with just 2 HDMI ports. Hell I got 4 on the TV in my bedroom and that isn't enough.
