yeah that’s some bullshyt. no time that I’ve been has it been rowdy or noisy and they always have security out. i only go late af as well and that’s the only location I go to because they accept credit card cuz I ain’t finna pull out cash. shyts ass.

man blame the state. my guess is they wanna reclaim that land to do something else and they are simply making it impossible for maxwell to operate and make a profit.

and fukk them (the state). also, the CTA forced the maxwell on 95th and state street to move out, and they were just as good as the OG version.

if the 95th maxwell was still poppin, I'd NEVER go to the original one since that is less than a mile from my crib.

and u right. both joints operated for decades 24/7 without incidents. just nikkas being hungry trying to get food late night.

I just had the BEST tacos EVER. this little place in hammond. they make birria tacos and they are :fire::fire::fire::fire::fire::fire::fire::fire:

here's two youtube videos on them. I saw the video a couple weeks ago and have been searching for these type of tacos ever since.

Here's pics of the food I got. I bought birria tacos and a quesatacos. quesa tacos are tacos where there's no shell. they use cheese for the shell and fry it so its a little bit browned on the outside to form a shell.

doesn't seem like you would be the type to frequent spots full of drunk and high ghetto folk at night.

Y’all know maxwell street polish is no longer 24 hours? I pull up at 3am after bar crawling this weekend and these foos closed. I was hot.

They now close at 1am and reopen at 6am.
If you talking bout the one off Roosevelt,
UIC police made them close early. Students was getting mugged, carjacked, harassed. Big ass dorm tower directly across the street

I still get security alerts from when I worked there. Was always someone getting mugged or carjacked over there off Halsted

Use to get fukked up at Bar Louie or one of them spots on Taylor then slide over to Maxwells, bounce right on the Dan Ryan(sobered up of course). I miss pre-pandemic times :mjcry: Them spots use to be flooded with shortys from the medical district and downtown.
