How’s the south shore neighborhood? I’ve been there a few times. But how about buying property there? I’m mostly thinking about crime…currently living in bronzeville/Kenwood… south shore got some nice homes.

I wouldn't live there. The ONLY thing they have is lakefront access. Nothing else. No stores, no trains and no amenities.

A colleague of mine owned in South Shore. About 10 years ago, he had been trying to get out, thinking that the neighborhood was going to flip but it didn’t and he wasn’t seeing much housing appreciation.

I think right now what South Shore has going for it is the building of the Obama Library and the Tiger Woods linked project that is connecting South Shore and Jackson Park Golf Courses into one world class course. I know a couple of folks that stay in the Jackson Park Highlands and they are excited for the developments and think the neighborhood may see upward development. One thing I do know, 20 years ago the Highlands was all black. Now it’s about 45% white.

shyt is annoying af. Tucking that flag all over their trunks and shyt. Let us do some shyt like that and the national guard would be called
They had caravans of over 100 cars that were just running lights and honking their horns going up and down Roosevelt. My apartment is on Clark overlooking Roosevelt towards the lake and thats all I heard all fukking night.
Meanwhile, they dont let nikkas congregate in a public park without harassment but letting these mofos tear the streets up and block traffic. There was no police escort that was allowing them to do that.

I like woodlawn better. its hyde park adjacent, close to the lakefront, and quickly gentrifying. plus it too is right by the obama library.

87th and Dan Ryan (eastbound) is probably the worst intersection on the South Side....especially if you are turning right to hit the E-way south.

95th and Western is up there too...

that's right where I live. I HATE having to go to jewel or chipotle simply due to that intersection.

I don't think its the worst intersection in the city. that title goes to milwaukee/north/damen in wicker park. fukking terrible.
