Basically after looking at different spots and deciding where I want to live I have determined that I'm gonna have to pay at least $1100 for a 1 bedroom to get want I want.

to me, haven't seen detached 3 bedroom/2 bathrooms with a garage going for less than $1200 unless it's in the hood or the interior needs major updates.
Next year but the way home prices are I'm not on track to make 20% down. Even 1 bedroom rentals in a decent area are going for $1100+like you said
I work in the media here and have covered a lot of the murders that have happened here since I started in 2015. I’ll say this, you just have to know where you can or can’t go. A lot of the crime happens in certain places which is pretty sad but it is what it is. I feel safer here than I felt in my hometown before I left there( Augusta, Ga) I was there after a 7 year old was killed in a drive by. I remember when a 14 year old was killed in another drive by, and I was there after that beautiful young black Woman was killed in traffic after a shootout on North Tryon. I’ve also seen this city come together and be strong for each other after shyt like that happens. I mean I walk the streets of uptown all the time and nothing happens to me..
