^Cant help you too much with eateries as I’m fairly new. I’ve only been to a couple spots. Here for suggestions also. Places I’ve hit/planned to hit but something came up below.

Midwood Smokehouse was cool. I hear Sweet Lews better though.
Superica - Chain but was great - maybe my best meal in the city so far. Pricey for what it is
Amelies - French Bakery, hit this spot with a chick at like 4:30 am Og location eclectic
Sports One - Folks I was with enjoyed it
Seafood Connection - I hear great things not big on seafood. Still will try 1 day

I’m not in a position to tag any with MUST.


It’s at The Filmore Saturday. I’ve heard good things from other cities. Hopefully there’s a good amount of women there cuz my Roster pathetic lol.

How long you been here? how do you like it so far?

shyt, like 5 months. I come from SC so I ain't hard to please lol. Coming off winter I think it's a fly city for couples. Or if you into the Craft Beer scene.

I don't fall into either of those categories. But I feel like there's always something to get into. So far I just been hitting the Epicentre & Onyx ha. Southend sometimes Slate/Oak etc.

Any other suggestions from the gang? @CarmelBarbie what's up, you trying give me a proper tour?

im from Florida, so all the hoods & projects around here seem nice to me..

went to get some food one night, and walked through some projects up the street.. told someone at work the next day, they was like "you walked through Rolling Hills "

Knowing Charlotte... They aren't going to do anything, to they might match a community fund, but they just gunna let the homeless be worse off than before, I don't see the city caring, they gunna be just like atlanta

Oh absolutely, they're taking out the rest of the benches at all the bus stops in Uptown to prevent folks from sleeping in them now..city is slowly becoming outright hostile to the homeless.

Urban Ministry and the Men's Shelter are joining together in anticipation of selling their property on Tryon once the time comes, makes things easier. I'm not on the board anymore but its known that eventually they're going to have to relocate but the situation with the growth in homelessness is making decisions difficult.

I think it's going to get fukked up.. crime, as it is already, in Center City/Uptown is gonna uptick. They're already dealing with an increase in sexual assault and battery incidents in Uptown which is in turn making the city take more aggressive measures to keep transients in check.

Yes I do..... what kind of scene are you into? I got a few artsy graphic designer friends so I go to a few of their exhibitions from time to time.

Ha, yeah. It’s cool for young couples. Maybe settling down too. Hear the schools trash though. Yeah, I try to stay into something. Can’t be couped up. I rarely go north of uptown & it seems that area is your stomping grounds. I show u the cool parts on this end and U show me da dope spots in da University area. Let’s do it.

Yeah actually I do. I've lived a sheltered life, I wanna be exposed to the rougher parts of Charlotte, by a gully breh like you.


I don't know what QC U means, but I live out in North Charlotte, about 5 minutes away from Concord Mills Mall and about 12 mins away from University city.
