Kirkland had no business being in there last night. When he signed on the dotted line he was walking around at 200 plus pounds and that was only what...two to three months ago? He looked weight drained during the weigh in and his eyes looked like he saw cheeseburgers in the crowd. When he was warming up prior to the walkout he didn't look sharp at all. So he dropped 55-60lbs in 3 months, and hadn't fought in over a year? That's partly why I'm not a fan of GB and De La Hoya and I'm hoping his lawsuit goes nowhere against PBC. It was unscrupulous and irresirresponsible to put that event on last night and then have the nerve to suggest Kirkland is a force in the division. Even Canelo after the fight was concerned and came over to check on Kirkland cuz he knew that was fukked up. And that talk about Kirkland hooking back up with Ann Wolfe needs to stop, he needs to hang em up. His speech was slurred before this fight and you can tell he's a bit slow. Whether his slowness is the result of boxing or otherwise, needless to say getting back in the ring is not a good look for him. His people need to show some responsibility and get him a job or something. He got paid enough to buy a small house, have a good start on savings, and find employment that doesn't involve his equilibrium getting tossed in the bushes so as to keep feeding that nest egg.
