Swift likes to discredit opponents, but when do we ever hear him talk about who is a good fight.
If he moves to 140, he deserves some lee-way to get acclimated and gauge where he is at.
At 140 he is the champ. Fighting the Salka's of the world is a waste of time. It is a business and he can do whatever he wants for his paycheck.
To the people watching him and being critical of the fights he should take, he deserves criticism, Swift and #SwiftSet forget how boxing matchmaking works.
- Matthysse: Swift won and deserved the victory (albeit in a CLOSE fight). No rematch is necessary. Ratings wise though, no one can deny this is probably Swift's most successful fight.
- Herrera: Most the boxing world (besides Swift affiliates) feel Swift in no way won cleanly and many felt Herrera deserved the decision.
- Peterson: #2 or #3 ranked fighter in the division. Forget triangle theories. Doesn't mean Danny will KO him. Gotta fight the fights.
- Broner: may be friends, but financially makes sense. Attractive fight.
The other top guys at 140 are HBO guys, so no chance: Vargas, Postol, Algieri, and Prov...all round out the top 10* of BoxRec's JWW.
*Left out Keita Obara, who has only fought in Japan.

Swift been saying he don't pick his fights does, his team does. So get mad at Haymon and Swift's team, & the Network (who should get the most blame) for the Salka-like fights.
I know it's hard for many to comprehend (because once again, Floyd changed the game) but many fighters aren't about the politics. They just wanna go out there and fight, and don't give a fukk who it's against, Manny is the same way, and ya'll criticize him for it too.

And he's not saying Herrera (or Lucas) won't get rematches. He doesn't pick his fights, so if his team wanted a rematch, then he's worth. That comment is more a shot at the fighters and the fans who feel like Swift owes them a rematch. Which he doesn't.
