I can't disagree with Swift that fighting Peterson is not really going to do much for him career-wise because no one gives a fukk about Lamont Peterson. However, we were all led to believe that the shytty "Let's Beat Up Nobodies" card from a few weeks ago was done as an appetizer wetting for an upcoming Garcia/Peterson title unification bout.
So if Danny isn't going to be fighting Peterson he better damn well be replacing that fight with something that is much better. I don't want to see another unranked dude from a lower weight class getting thrown in there to get beat up.

Garcia only has 3 legit fights at 140:
Peterson (a new opponent for him)
Herrera (rematch that controversial decision)
Matthysse (a rematch for the fans - probably the best ratings Garcia gets at 140).

I guess there is Broner, but I don't think Broner wants it. Just like I think Garcia has some fear of taking an L...I think Broner is very cautious right now and doesn't want to take a fight where he could take an L.

We all know team Garcia doesn't want to do Matthysse again and avoiding Herrera like the plague, so it is Peterson or move up. Personally I think Garcia is not very eager to move up because against the top tiered guys at 147, Garcia takes L's.
