I dont remember canelo ever being hurt. He lost decisivley but he held his own for a 22 year old. If u rewatch it, canelo didnt fight a horrible fight. His mistake was thinking that he could box with floyd but he did a better job then pac.

He didnt seem to throw any shade, always gives mayweather his props. May just doesnt have the most fan friendly style outside of boxing purist or stans. Overly cautious, defensive, and pot shots to a clear victory, as of late in his career.

It also isnt his prerogative to be fan friendly. He has a formula that works for him and has made him the richest man in sports.

To clarify, i think canelo chose to box because floyds counters were hard enough to get his attention. if floyd had no power, he woulda rushed him. thats why i think the "doesnt hit hard stuff is bull. they might not have had knockout effect, but canelo was clearly effected

I dont think anyone would say floyd was on top when it comes to entertainment, i just dont see how anyone who studies the sport could look at him fight and say hes boring.

I think Floyd Mayweather is very fun to watch..why? He does everything right. That Mexican style shyt is fun for what we will see on Sept 16th but Floyd and Whitaker made people look like they had no business being in the same ring with them.

i'm not doubting that, but floyd has always said fukk the fans. he's always bragged that he's not in the sport to entertain. those are his own words. he's still the greatest of this era and was amazing to watch. but as far as pure entertainment, he was never at the top. this is something even he admits and brags about. he's obviously 100% okay with that. I think only his stans are the ones who get offended by it.

I think there are mostly 2 types of Mayweather fans

Some of the hardcore boxing fans who value his skills and style and not get thrown off by his personality.

And casuals who don't really watch boxing other than MAYBE Mayweather fights, they are fans because Mayweather as a celeb figure appeals to them with his luxurious, flashy lifestyle.

It's ok if DLH is stupid I didn't expect anything else from him but Hopkins and Canelo shouldn't follow him in this especially Canelo who should realize that Oscar very much depends on him, practically he could be Oscar's boss not the other way around. De La Hoya depends more on Canelo than Canelo on him. Canelo could throw him in the bushes any time.
Without Canelo GBP is almost Main Events caliber. Oscar likes to spend on boxing media but that won't be enough if he won't have enough good fighters whom that media can write about
