If he really and truly did turn down ANYTHING over or even close to $10 mill is fukking stupid

If GGG thinks $15 mill is disrespectful he's nuts...Danny, Thurman , AB, Khan, Bradley who are all bigger names than him aint made that kinda coin.....hell Cotto made that against Canelo as the A-side....talk about over valuing your marketability. I mean Bradley made was like $ 6 or $7 against Manny right?

Heck has Canelo made $15 mill in a fight?

people who defended broner turning down that flat fee vs pacquiao all of a sudden turning against GGG for doing the same :ehh:

I can't stand AB and think he's brutally overrated on this board but from a ticket selling standpoint dude commands top dollar based on viewership....and I can't stand him.

Who?:jbhmm:

I defended AB turning down the offer (how the hell Bradley gonna get more of a payday than AB...when AB vs Pacquiao is a more requested match up), but never once have I said GGG should accept the flat fee being offered neither:ufdup:

Flat fees are :camby:

Give me a % split across the board...period.

Broners Flat fee was = to Brandon Rios coming off a L to Alvarado... Broners Flat fee was less then Bradley...who is no where near the draw AB is

GGG flat fee is > then what Canelo got vs Cotto And Floyd COMBINED...GGG flat fee is > then what Cotto got for Floyd...GGG Mr B side to Kell Brook...Mr 97k himself...is being offered more then Canelo or Cotto while having a fraction of the fan base or draw :shedead:

But please continue trying to "bu bu bu but "your way into thinking its the same :mjlol:

When it was AB it was "bu bu bu bu but PPV ain't what it used to be"

When its GGG we gotta believe the PPV gonna sell 1.5 N he's owed more then muhfukkers waaaay above his draw N pay scale

This is what's really going on....GBP overpaid like a muhfukker for Khan N K2 knows the media/HBO on they side ...so they goin squeeze erry red cent outta golden boy N trash they name in the process

I think Oscar is playing thr dirtiest game possible and I'd much prefer Canelo if for any reason didn't make the GGG fight in May him vs Andy Lee or an in shape BJS is a much better fight than the joke that is JCCJr....sad part is BJS and Andy Lee ain't PPV worthy for May.

I agree. I understand the flat fee for regular HBO and Showtime fights, because this fights operate at a loss and it takes the networks to purchase them to make decent purses. But if a fight is big enough for a PPV they should be splits. Fight does well the fighters should benefit the most and eat off their success. If the fight bombs than the fighters shouldn't get paid as much. Just like regular dudes earning a commission on sales.

Pacquiao's last fight showed you why evaluating the fight as a total event matters. In a one dimensional space Broner and GGG are being offered great purses. But the world is more complex. Both fighters also give their opponents monster paydays because of them being the opponent. True cases where the B-Side directly effects the A-Sides pockets. In cases like that I don't see why a split wouldn't be ever not be fair
