The 1st vid kurdyasov might be limited tbh but the man has nukes in his hands.

That dude is another KO waiting to happen but not too many cruisers are built to take his type of power for very long...my nigerian breh durodola was lucky to send him to the bushes early in their fight

Ill ass slugfest from last year :wow:...:russ: kudryashov's wife being horrified at that asswhoopin

Another african ''no hoper'' bought in as a sacrificial lamb KO'ing a russian beast...... I'm starting to see a trend here.

That fight is :ohhh:

That shyt wasn't supposed to happen and look at his KO ratio too
Yeah it's interesting

Durodola - Kudryashov
Manyuchi - Mikhaylenko
Indongo - Troyanovski
Makabu - Kucher (Ukrainian)
Chilemba - Lepikhin
Chilemba - Vlasov

(not all of these KO's though)

Wondering if it has anything to do with regional style differences or it's just African fighters are cheap so they usually invite them to these events so if an upset is happening it's usually comes from an African

It's probably the latter though cause Eastern Euros also gave some back

Lebedev - Kalenga
Lebedev - Kayode
Briedis - Durodola
Kovalev - Chilemba
Gvozdyk - Chilemba

might have to do with the lack of respect cause they are simply unknown.. I can't look the specifics up, but Indongo was #15, the lowest for a title defense. So they're cheap, no one really knows if they're any good because African boxing is somewhat unknown as opposed to a "dangerous Argentine" or "hard punching Colombian" who you know might be untested but there have been enough guys that made the transition so a higher level that guys will be very careful with them. Now compare that with how many Africans came out of nowhere to be top level fighters, not that many.

But now there have been enough African upsets that maybe people start to think twice when picking their easy opponents for their untested prospects.

Yeah the Manyuchi fight was another I wanted to mention. In the case of Chilemba imo that guy is just a straight up spoiler. You see his fights with Bellew, Eleider Alvarez and you think maybe the scorecards would've gone differently. He has a style that can be really tricky to figure out.

how many regional styles do y'all recall btw?

Is it less and less a thing or you could still tell only by movement/style whether is a fighter Mexican, American, Eastern euro and etc...?

Honestly how he stayed on his feet is anyone's guess...he was catching straight work before Nady stepped in
Cruiserweight is the most slept on division out there. You get fights like this and the past weekend the Lebedev fight and you wonder why these guys don't get more cred.

Shoot Imma have to ask @Yuzo this but there is a certain posture and rhythm (even when they throw combos or pivot in and out etc) that I see top Mexican fighters with. Even a counter puncher like Marquez for instance. The subtle defensive movements they make etc. I can't quite place it.

the money has always been at heavyweight for americans. the only reason steve cunningham went up to heavyweight was because of the money and he even admitted it he needed it at the time. i will admit, don tried to push the division here in the states. when he had o'neil bell, wayne braithwaite, jean moremck and guilerrmo jones, he had them on showtime on giving us action packed fights. :banderas:
I Was in the house for USS vs Guillermo Jones...shyt was a dope fight..I wish Steve didn't have to go heavyweight...that put serious mileage on him :smh:

That might be the upset of the year to me....I actually picked peralta beating ghost but I didn't put any money on it :to:
You had peralta beating ghost? :dwillhuh:

and you didn't put money on it?:hubie:
Yeah.. @Newzz had to break that news to me on the odds :francis:
If we're talking real cash and not coli cash:damn:

Pat is definitely good at spotting underdogs who actually end up winning...I thought for sure he'd put a little bread on that one ($50):mjcry:

It's good though, there's going to be another random upset that Pat calls correct:salute:

I'll be honest and say I had a feeling Tyson Fury was gonna pull it off against klitschko mostly because of his reach, size and style. Why I didn't put the chips down I do not know :palm::facepalm:
