I had Herrera beating Swift 7rds to 5, but had Swift beating PED 7rds to 5. I even posted before the fight stating that Lamont needed to take it to Danny from the get go (similar to how he fought **** after the 3rd round) in order to win. When the fight actually happened, PED looked his best once he stopped boxing and dominated Swift whenever he pressured him. With that said he still started too late for me to say he won.

I still don't think he got robbed tho. My pops and father in law both thought he edged it, but understood he needed to start sooner so they weren't mad at the scores.

Thanks breh. I respect your opinion as well breh. I'm not even saying to rewatch MayPac (cuz it wasn't some great fight like that to bother doing so) but nikkas shouldn't act like it's crazy if someone gave Pac 4 or 5 rounds. It was a super tactical fight that had a lot of posturing and shyt where a few offensive bursts could swing the round in someone's favor (and if you favor a certain style, you might give that person the round)

I mean, think about it. Floyd's pops was right there and he saw it as close and his son fighting scary, but somehow a lot of cats here saw it as some 10 rd sweep domination. This is why Floyd always says cats like Crawford and others can't sleep on Pac even at this stage because he knew how cautiously perfect he had to box in order to win. That really just illustrates how great he is, because he may have made it look easy to some, but it wasn't.

but you right, a lot of different shyt factors into how cats score fights here. I just try to be objective with it so I can fully appreciate what both boxers are giving their life for while in the ring.

Right now, i rather see a Swift/PED rematch than Ward/Kovalev 2. but I'm still happy Thurman getting his crack at dude.

Excellent point:ehh:

@Yuzo it seemed like he was aware that punch was coming cause he closed his eyes....but idongo had great posture for a power punch.:lupe:

i remember seeing this ko a few times. each and every time with a southpaw.

you ever saw a guy get struck out by really nasty break?

my theory is you think a punch is coming out straight.

but it comes out curved and weaves around on you.

the punch curves and "breaks away" so to speak on where you think it was going so your brain does not understand why you were just hit and has to momentarily shut down.

michael nunn knocked out sumbu kalambay the same way with the same punch.

same ko. same "breaking" punch. but thats just my theory.

Watch that fight when it comes on YouTube. Shafikov was the aggressor and had commey on his toes from beginning to end, I couldn't believe it. Commey couldn't hurt him! Shafikov was like a tank, kept coming forward moving his head, taking shots and landing good shots. Don't think commey expected that when he slowed down down the stretch. Shafikov was just relentless, period!

Abel got something going with these Russians.

So far I have it 2-1 Commey with Shafikov taking the 3rd. Commey definitely got his respect early because Shafikov isn't coming in like a bull like he did in the first minute of the fight. He's landing nice body shots though
