Did you catch the fight on Saturday breh?:mjpls:

:smugbiden:

I was working the night job (dj’ing) and streaming on my phone.

Was uh…not great.

Man came in wild unprepared. All those stories of him barely getting any sparring or prep in, just focusing on losing weight, turned out to be true. Dude had nothing, offered nothing, tried nothing, then threw himself in the bushes :wow:

I’ll give Loma his props for doing work, but will excuse myself from placing this on the level of a Floyd/Corrales performance.

Any and every guy in the top 20-30 in the division beats Walters that night. He was garbage.

Not in the fashion Loma did it, though. He was phenomenal. But Walters as bad. Really bad. Really, really bad. Hope he knows not the long layoffs don’t work for him in any way for a number of reasons. He needs to fight 3-4 times next year, and two of them against Top 10 guys.

salido is the draw not lomachenko...they gotta break bread for this minor inconvenience and break in salido's schedule of warring with his fellow mexicans and miscellaneous asians....siri is a busy man :beli:
IDK what they were but I have a feeling Loma is gonna become really popular among casuals, in the next year or so.

Pat is right though, they need to offer Siri legit $$ for the Loma rematch, and not just give Loma a 66.6/33.3 split.
exactly..i know comrade vasyl wants to avenge that loss...there's no way he doesn't but salido's stature hasn't lowered a bit since that fight and he is still a threat at 130...you can't really lowball him

But, if Salido's the draw.....then wouldn't he be the A-Side?:sas1:

Wouldn't that mean that, technically, Neo COULDNT lowball him, and that it's Salido's team/manager/promoter giving him the $$$ amount he's being offered as the A-Side because B-Sides don't make the offer?:sas2:

Like Neo's manager said:

Lomachenko manager, Egis Klimas, told The Times, “I got my fighter the minimum he wanted. It’s not my job to pay Salido or find the money for Salido to fight. It’s the promoter’s job. [Team Salido] remembers Lomachenko saying he’d give Nicholas Walters $300,000 of his purse if Walters could beat him. That’s not happening again.”

Orlando Salido displeased with purse offer for Lomachenko, turns eyes to Takashi Miura

So....yeah. Salido needs to have HIS people contact HBO and have them open up their budget of what they are willing to pay Salido, or his promoter needs to stop being stingy with his money. Don't get upset bc Loma has a high guarantee, like SOG does which is why he was guaranteed more by RNS than ME was willing to guarantee Kovalev, it's not his fault:manny:

His own team is offering him the low offer....not Loma. Get your stuff together, get your weight together, then come get GOT together:demonic:

I can accept this reasoning breh....except I don't think any of the Top 20-30 would've beat Walters, I just think Loma was much faster/quicker than he thought and the angles bothered him.

Walters didn't do bad the 1st couple of rounds, it was after like round 4 (just like Loma said), that he started getting a lot more "comfortable" in the ring vs what Walters could bring to the table and started going crazy.

I don't think it's over for Walters though...I actually think he bounces back and storms back in line for a rematch by no later than mid 2018 (if he can get 2-3 fights under his belt as you stated).

I don't agree with the Andre Ward skill set part, literally at all friend.

The bolded is possible, but, Loma throws shoe shiners the first 4 rounds of the fight to catch you slippin in the final 8 rounds. He also mixes up the speed of his jab very very well right @LeVraiPapi

Skicomputerputin b says the most outlandish shyt at times

Same skillet as Ward ? well by that logic I'm as tall as Yao Ming

He was okayish the first 4 rounds, but I thought Loma getting comfortable came hand in hand with Walters gassing. Sosa and Marriaga were live until the final bell, if Walters came in like he did here against them, they both beat him. Above all else, this was a guy who has been in three straight tough fights, and tried something and gutted it out in them. I don’t think it was just the gulf between he and Loma that made him pack it in. I think he was finished on every level (physically, mentally, emotionally) and had nothing left. If you only have 4-7 rounds to give in a fight, there’s not many people you can beat.

And nah, I don’t think he’s done either. I think he does need to just move up to 135, though, and stay active there. I do hope they run it back eventually, though

That’s what I find frustrating about this, as I can’t help but find almost everything about the fight inconclusive. It was a damn sparring match. I’d rather Loma have starched him early than seeing him half-ass then call it in after a few rounds.

Walters aint throw shyt and Loma failed to drop the hammer; it makes me sick when people try to overrate Loma now; real good figther, but he needs a couple of trench fights vs somebody like a Salido to work out his kinks......He fights in the pocket and pivot and leans; instead of moving his feet; people who understand how to cut off the ring will stalk him and hook and as he tries to lean; it's what got him in trouble vs Salido.....Loma is still young in the game he hasn't learned to use his pop, and from the slaps he does land it shows he has some.....3-4 fights hell be ready for the names; but a few fighters around his weight class could trouble him

That boy has to avenge his L before I could properly gauge to see if he improving; Salido still too game and around his weight to play ducking games

He's had 6 fights since facing Salido and he's faced Gary Russell Jr, Martinez, and Walters in 3 of those 6....top fighters in each division. He dominated all 3 of them. Easy.

So that leads me to ask you....who troubles him at 126 or 130 (Im not using 135, bc we don't know what he looks like there yet)?

And explain how Neo is ducking Siri....when Siri turned down the fight because of $$$ and Neo is the B-Side in a rematch?:mjpls:

There are plenty names from 122-126 who could very easily move up and trouble him; those wet tissue punches aint scaring nobody
