I attended the Muhammad Waseem (Pakistan's 1st pro boxer and WBC Silver champion) vs Giemel Magramo (Filipino). Both young, hungry and undefeated.

Great fight too.Magramo dominated early with a relentless inside attack. Waseem stood his ground and nearly had Magramo out at the end of the fight. Magramo was deducted a point for frequent unintentional headbutting.

I had it 114-113 Waseem, just like 2 other judges. The 3rd (Korean) had an outrageous 117-110 Waseem. fukking idiot :camby:

After the fight, I chopped it up with Jeff Mayweather, Waseem's trainer. He told me he thought his guy squeaked it out and had to to tell him "You got boxing skills, use em!" This was true as in the middle of the ring, Waseem was superior. Against the ropes he was hopeless. Jeff said he would do this in camp. Basically he'd get too relaxed and not work his hardest for 3 minutes.

"I knew the other guy was gonna be tough but not THIS fukkin tough" :russ:

Jeff also said that he thought Ward-Kovalev could've went either way. He said that the crowd and commentary made the fight seem a lot more exciting than it really was. He said nothing significant was really landed, tit for tat fight, and also believes people give Kovalev too much credit after his knockdown.

Real cool, down to earth brother. 2 great fights today. Wish I had more time to pick his brain but people wanted pictures so I kept it simple and short.

1.mostly everyone says that the fight was close unless extremely biased.

2.did u happen to ask jeff if ward was p4p no1? I know roger was acting like ward wasn't but he always act like that when he thinks someone wants to compare another guy to Floyd...lol:dead:
