I don't know any casuals who know Cotto:manny:
I guess you don't know many Puerto Ricans then because even women who don't watch any boxing know Cotto. Its not as big as the casual fandom was for Trinidad but the casuals do know Cotto. Abuelas be getting excited to watch Miguel fight and shyt.

I get from perusing this thread that you have staked out a position on the whole Canelo/Golovkin situation but acting like Cotto is not more well known by casual fans than Golovkin is just denying reality.
Just by virtue of his longer career and bigger fights Cotto gets the edge.

Nobody who isn't a boxing head knows or gives a single fukk about Gennady Golovkin. That is just the situation Golovkin finds himself in and is why he needs to understand that he will likely have to eat some shyt in negotiations with Canelo in order to get this fight. The question is whether Golovkin is willing to bet on himself and take a hit in order to get the fight that will propel him into superstardom if he wins.

If Schaef says the deal offered to GGG is a bad deal, it’s a bad deal :manny:

And GGG/Canelo is bigger than GGG/Cotto. Cotto got washed by Mayweather and Pac, it was a big fight but one that Canelo wasn't supposed to lose to a past-prime Cotto.
That is not how matchups work...Cotto/Canelo was bigger because of who Cotto is in the sport. Now Canelo/Golovkin is going to be a more competive fight but that isn't how the stature of a fight is determined.

And Schaeffer is basically on a "I will disagree with and backbite Oscar at every turn" mission right now so what he says means jack shyt on this deal.

I don't know any Puerto Ricans in real life. Not many live where I live...most stay on the West side.

And yes, I been made my stake. I believe GGG beats Canelo at 160. At a catchweight is the only way Canelo I think Canelo wins. I also think Canelo himself, as well as GB, knows this so they are ducking the inevitable for as long as they can in the hopes of GGG getting old in the ring overnight...or show some blatant holes in his game.

Good breakdown and I think Yuzo posted a gif awhile back of Loma doing something like that and saying that he can get caught IIRC. Hopefully axe man make it rough since he bigger/stronger and becuz I think Loma has the advantage outside but yea it should be a good scrap fasho.
One of walters best punches is his left hook. When Loma tries to escape/turn his opponent/ pivot out he tends to with his hands down, leaving him susceptible to walk into a power left hook he doesn't see.

I believe @krackdagawd brought this up in regards to Lara, because it happened in Lara/Canelo and that's how Angulo almost KO'd Lara.

:patrice:You wildin breh... GRJ is good but he only fought 2 live fighters his whole career. You can't judge his skill on TBA and his win over Gonzalez was impressive but Gonzalez is who we thought he was.
I asked my brehs in the chat this but not on here. Who do y'all rank 1-5 in 126 between Framp, Valdezzzzzzzzz, GRJ, LSC, and Selby?

He lying too?:sas2:

well the keyword here is "think"....which is the exact opposite of knowing. in other words all these guys don't know shyt just like us. but as much as loeffler and sanchez love to talk they would have denied oscar's ppv upside comment right away. there's only one reason they wouldn't and we know why:sas1:.....just another case of little g and his team thinking they're bigger than they really are. canelo offers him enough bread to feed his children's children and they spit in his face. ungrateful fakkits:wow:....it's ok though.....we got options over here:CaneloRejoice:....now move your ass up to 168 and make that chump change:CaneloUMAD:
