That's the problem....he's not Floyd OR Cotto. He hasn't faced the competition those 2 have faced or been through the wars those 2 HOFers have. They have earned their untouchable A status (Floyd, Manny, Cotto)...Canelo hasn't yet.

honestly I dont know the full quote. I do know he said he'd fight him at 160 I don't remember him saying he'd fight him next at 160If he didn't care about the belt...he wouldn't have paid the sanctioning fee to fight Miguel Cotto for it or paid it to defend it against Khan.
I said he would tell GGG that it was either 155 or no fight...and if GGG pressed the issue, Canelo would drop the belt saying "155 or nothing"
Instead, Canelo BLEW THAT by saying publically that he would indeed face GGG next and at the full 160 limit....then dropped the belt
Never once have I co-signed Canelo facing GGG at 160, but since he said he would, I expected him (and still expect for him) to do so. All that 155 stuff is out the window, because he backed himself into the corner by saying that.

There's no fighter that AB has said he'd fight, or wanna fight, that I have said he shouldn't.
Manny, Floyd, JMM, Bradley, Canelo, Spence Jr, Thurman, Porter, Maidana, Garcia, etc....not once have I said he shouldn't fight them nor would I condone him ducking them.
I would rather my fighters fight the best and lose, then call out the best and duck them when they respond. That's the reason I turned on GGG in the first place

That's what I mean. They spit in the fans face yet them nikkas was doing million ppv buys each time out. My point is if the boxing fans are not happy with the way boxing is evolving then stop buying ppvs and showing up to the fights. That's the only way to change nikkas not fighting each other.
