WbC been giving him(and cotto) a pass for not fighting GGG. They even let Canelo negotiate step aside money for ggg to fight Kahn.

They knew they had to fight GGG before they took the fight with Cotto. They had plenty of time to have talks about the possible fight.

And if Canelo wanted to genuinely make the GGG fight they would have extended it... As they have been with Canelo.

Canelo hasn't been forced to do shyt his entire career except fight Floyd at 152.

All his JMW fights for the past 3 years has been at 155....which is MW.

Yep, I had forgotten GGG just said recently that his team and GB had been talking for awhile to get this fight made. Far before this 15 day deadline. He said the immediate build up was all showmanship and behind the scenes it was different, they were wanting to negotiate the fight. If the fight isn't made it is on Canelo...GGG would have already signed if it was possible.

I have no interest in Canelo vs. Pacquiao...from Canelo's end. If Pacquiao won n it would be impressive, he usually weighs in at like 145, he probably could make 140 if he wanted. IMO it is great financially for Canelo, but a bad look to fight someone so much smaller than him. Pacquiao looked small next to Floyd when they fought. Really Canelo should fight a full fledged JMW, but there aren't any names.

Become the best fighter at Middleweight and holder of 75% of the belts available in the division. Oh, and also be ranked #3 P4P in the world.


He's done more than Alfredo Angulo, Erislandy Lara, and Amir Khan has done to get a Canelo fight.

I agree breh and the point I have been arguing with #CaneloCartel. There really isnt anything GGG can do to make himself more deserving of a Canelo fight, unless we are just putting obstacles to protect Canelo. GGG has obliterated the 160 pound division and the only real accomplishment he truly needs (besides unifying - but Saunders has been a blatant ducked so far) is the lineal title. Unless Canelo wants to keep fighting WW's, GGG is the best and most respected fighter Canelo could fight at 154 or 160.

While I agree GGG deserve a Canelo fight off the strength of being his mandatory, I disagree that he could be more deserving. I see Wade, Monroe JR., Ouma (who gave him a tough fight), Stevens, Rubio, Lemieux, Macklin on his resume. I don't see Quillin, Jacobs h, Andy Lee, He deserves the fight yes, but idk why k2 wouldn't rock with PBC, that would give him the credence to have 'mandhandled the division'. Realize, ggg has flaws, he also has TONS of positives, but a drude like Jacobs could give him issues he hasn't seen before. With the exception of Stevens, has he faced a good power puncher? Someone with a plus jab, or good counter punching.

Not throwing shade, just being honest, like i said lil g does TONS of good things--but there's tons of questions.
