Lara did outbox Canelo...he just couldn't take the body work from Canelo, so he got on his bike. He's also only 5'9 just like Canelo.

Julian Williams is 5'11 with a 73 inch reach, Erickson Lubin is 5'11 with a 76 inch reach, and Demetrius Andrade is 6'1. All of them are athletic, fundamentally skilled, good hand speed, good snap/power, none have shown a leaky chin (where they get rocked every other fight), and are big Junior Middleweights. Canelo is 5'9 with a 70 inch reach.

Canelo has never fought an opponent taller than himself...all 3 of them would be and all 3 are legit Junior Middles who intend on moving up to 160 in the near future (2-3 years tops). I would LOVE to see Canelo test his skills against either J Rock or Andrade today, and then Lubin within the next 2-3 years.
None of the three nikkas you named have faced a fighter with the slickness nor power of canelo. And Lara didnt outbox canelo imo. He did a good job of making nelo restart very often but that's only half the equation. Even lara fired, Canelo punished him to the body. I know j rock and them are bigger but they lack experience. I personally believe at 154 or 160 no active fighter beats canelo but I have been wrong before.

I still don't want that fight next :yeshrug:

I don't wanna hear

"bu bu bu but AB isn't a Welterweight"

"AB hasn't beat nobody but Paulie at 147"

"AB isn't ranked, Another Cherry"
One should fight berto aND the other should fight vqsquez on the same card. Do that shyt twice then have ab vs danny as a ppv event.

None of the three nikkas you named have faced a fighter with the slickness nor power of canelo.

Once Canelo faces one of em, then we can revisit this.

I'll never pick any Mexican fighter over a big, athletic, fundamentally sound black fighter:manny:

And Lara didnt outbox canelo imo. He did a good job of making nelo restart very often but that's only half the equation. Even lara fired, Canelo punished him to the body.

Even with giving Canelo every single close round in the fight...I had him winning only 7-5:manny:

Lara was outboxing him to start the fight and then the body work of Canelo took over....he put Lara on the track:wow:

I know j rock and them are bigger but they lack experience. I personally believe at 154 or 160 no active fighter beats canelo but I have been wrong before.

"lack experience"?

They aren't all 14-0 like Lubin. J Rock is 26, 23 fights into his career, and has shown an array of technical skills already. There's a reason why Trout has been ducking him for over a year now.

Andrade? He's an Olympian, who's 22-0, & even AS WBO Junior Middleweight Champion and calling Canelo out repeatedly since 2012....there was only crickets in response from Canelo and GBP:mjpls:

“Everybody that you can name in the division, I’m calling them out. I’m just letting the world know that I want to fight them,” said Andrade. “Then, I’ll bust them up. So, therefore, I’ll have to be the one that the red-haired kid [Alvarez] and everybody else has to fight.” “I would stop him. I would walk his little ass down.”

Demetrius Andrade believes he can beat Floyd Mayweather, Alvarez - Ring TV

Andrade was particularly upset with Oscar de la Hoya for using Andrade by announcing he was one of three candidates to fight Alvarez. “No disrespect to Clottey, who was a great 140 and 147-pounder, but which fight would the people paying for tickets like to see: Alvarez vs. Andrade or Alvarez vs. Clottey,” Andrade asked rhetorically. “I guess ‘Canelo’ isn’t interested in trying to regain a 154-pound world title belt. I want to let everyone know that we’re still open to fighting ‘Canelo’ if he is willing to step-up to fight Andrade. He wants a soft fight to set-up a mega-fight with (Miguel) Cotto. Demetrius is too high risk for the top 154-pounders to fight. It’s like pushing a rock uphill. Oscar never should have said Demetrius was on the short list to fight ‘Canelo’ because he didn’t mean it. We’re not letting them off the hook, though. We haven’t signed to move up to 160 yet and we’re open to fighting ‘Canelo’ at any given time. And if ‘Canelo’-Clottey is made, it’s only going to be just one more disappointing night of boxing for fans. ”

Like I said, if Canelo faces one of these 3 opponents, I think he loses because of the reasons I stated initially. I'd be surprised if he can:manny:

We talk a lot about Floyd being on his :mjpls: when it came to facing prime Black fighters.....Canelo's only faced 1 himself in 49 career fights (Trout).

Floyd wasn't prime, but blanked him.

Trout was prime, and a lot people feel Canelo lost that. I personally think Williams & Andrade are both better than Trout ever was, and Lubin is on the rise as well (not Trout's level yet though)

I have to call a spade a spade if Im going to be fair:yeshrug:

Clottey never faced Canelo, but no...he loses. He doesnt possess the fighting style to beat Canelo. He doesnt press the issue and doesnt move much. he'd be a sitting target for Canelo to tee off on imo.

Andrade is definitely a good fighter. On June 11th he faces #OhioPlayers own Willie Nelson:ehh:

I think he's too big, athetic, and skilled for Canelo to ever beat him, and I think GBP knows it too, which is why they never took the bait....they were not even willing to do a unification bout against Andrade:heh:

In comparison to nikkas like Canelo or lara the l they lack experience. Bog difference in 26 fights of okay competition versus 40 plus fights of the best. There are too many unknowns regarding andrade, j rock and lubin. Let j rock beat at least a trout level nikka before you start picking him over the future GOAT MEXICAN fighter

Lara is black and Canelo clearly beat him imo. And the reason canelo "ducked" J rock and Andrade is that they bring no money to the table let them 154 pounders have a tournament then they can face the king.
