Errol Spence-Konstantin Ponomarev heads to purse bid, May 17th

A IBF final eliminator will be going to the highest bidder next week.
The IBF has confirmed that a final eliminator between Errol Spence Jr (20-0, 17 KOs) and Konstantin Ponomarev (30-0, 13 KOs) will be heading to purse bid next week as the two sides have yet to hash out a deal between themselves. The purse bid will be held on May 17th for a fight that will determine the next mandatory challenger or IBF titlist Kell Brook (36-0, 25 KOs).
But since Brook just fulfilled his mandatory defense this past March, when he stopped Kevin Bizier in two rounds, he won't be required to negotiate with the winner of Spence-Ponomarev until at least the end of the year. That paves some room for Spence and Ponomarev to take care of their business, but the two are expected to face one another this summer.
Spence, a highly touted prospect who is now likely considered a legitimate title contender, will be favored in the match-up against Ponomarev - and should he win, a fight against Kell Brook should be a tough test for both men.

Partly true but it's either Berto or Broner vs Garcia. Garcia hasn't made a pick yet. From what I heard before, Haymon prefers Berto since he's more reliable and more professional, but we all know Broner brings the drama but it still comes down to Danny making a pick. ANy pick is a good fight

Once again, he's bringing up SOG and not mentioning Badou Jack. I mean, I agree with his message about lil g, but I wish he mentioned Badou Jack as an option for GGG also like any good promoter would
because he knows and we all know HBO would never allow Jack to fight GGG without jerking em both. Jack has lots of options and he can keep his belt longer. Let Jack build up his name a little more before he asks for that fight. HBO would offer him 250k. Not logical business wise

If Danny Garcia picks Berto, that means he purposely chose to not fight Adrien Broner
That wont be good for any futher #AboutBillions vs #swiftset conversations moving forward, because it would mean that when Swift had the chance & the choice, he picked someone other than AB after all this talk over the years from krack and choc saying AB was scared of Swift
If Swift picks Berto, while AB (the bigger fight/name) is also an option for him, things will be very interesting around here in the future as far as Garcia vs Broner convos go

Yall putting too much thought into it and too much
for the Mayweather Promotions promoter is going on.It's not about ACTUALLY making the fight. It's about, when the cameras are on you & the casuals are watching (including the TMT fan base & GGG stans), you constantly bring up the same name...Badou Jack....and introduce the public to him just because they would want to know "Who is this Jack guy Floyd keeps talking about?"
Again, it looks HORRIBLE for the #2 RING ranked, WBC Super Middleweight Champion, coming off of wins over Anthony Dirrell, George Groves, and Lucian Bute, being relatively unknown while he's a part of TMT and Mayweather Promotions.
It makes 0 sense for him to be fighting in front of only 1500 people and being watched on TV by only 317k on a card where he's main eventing against Lucian Bute with James DeGale in the co-main.
There's no way that the Promoter should not take full blame for that.
The fighter's job is to fight. The promoters job is to promote. Badou Jack has done his job very well over the last 2 years since suffering the loss to Edwards (that none of the casuals and most avid boxing heads don't even remember at this point). What has Floyd done as far as building Jack's profile with the casuals/public? He's unknown, but ranked the 2nd best in the world at 168 & is a Champion with good names on his resume?
Floyd needs to bring up Jack's name like he brings up Tank's name randomly. Jack is >>>>>> Tank Davis at this point of their careers, but you'd never know it because Floyd doesnt talk about Jack nearly as often.
Floyd needs to keep his Promoter hat on, since he's retired he says, and actually promote and get his fighters names/faces out there to the public or to his fans so they can support his stable of fighters.

WHat if I told you Tyson really wanted to stalk and fight Floyd cuz he felt like Floyd didn't help him get his money back from the VEgas heavyweights who played him dirty. ALso, Haymon stole some of his fighters after they trained at Floyd's gym. No names will be mentioned. I guess that explains his anger towards Floyd, but stalking the man to fight him would get Mike in lots of trouble.
im sure tyson can body all of floyd's bodyguards one on one but altogether 
also im not surprised about haymon stealing some of tyson's fighters..lubin and sammy vasquez i remember fighting on tyson's cards..mike got an eye for talent..i wanted mike's promotion to really succeed too...its a shame
