One thing Floyd does well on defense is he's always looking at his opponents and Floyd is quick to get in and out of spaces and get what he wants, which is a quick body jab, left hook or just a straight right hand. It would take Floyd a little to get him queued up just like Mosley and Lotta people were saying the same thing about Shane. I see Floyd frustrating him and work the body well and sliding to his left while setting traps for the left hook steping back. Difficult fight for Floyd but even more difficult fight for Norris to get past Floyd defense and land that right multiple times without Floyd countering or timing it right. Also Floyd has underrated power and to quote you the shock and accuracy of that left hook would have Norris think twice.
these things are true. floyd does have a good jab to the body. but a quick jab to the body can be countered by a guy with a quick a right hand.
this is going to be one of the big factors when kovalev and ward fight.
floyd has a good check hook. but the way to beat a check hook is to throw your right hand and move your head inside and/or under the check hook in the same motion.
that was how terry norris knocked out john mugabi.
i dont think that floyd can stand in front of norris. i think he would probably have to use a lot of movement. back can never touch the ropes. try to counter a lot and steal a lot. but you have to remember norris was a very good counter puncher too. norris had a very good check hook too.
i would favor norris. but i would never count floyd out of any fight against any guy.
