Why didn't he ask for 750k to face Donaire?


Walters is bringing nothing to the table and is still being offered a career high pay day....even more than he made against Donaire and is getting Loma to give up his belt & face him at the full 130 limit with no rehydration clause.


They are offering him $500k out of the $1 million available (he got about $350k to face Donaire). He's asking for the full $1 million

Walters and Loma should both be demanding more money.... both should be getting paid more than 500k for this particular fight imo..

Because he never held out on fighting for more money before....now it's "I need $1 million, plus Loma to move up and fight me at my weight class, with no rehydration clause" as if he's running the show.


Dude JUST fought on HBO a few months back for around $300k, so my thing is why didn't he demand $750k to fight Sosa if he wants to make Loma money (Loma made $750k to fight a fighter like Jason Sosa)?


Why when it's Loma, he's asking to almost triple his earnings, and yall don't have a problem with it.....but if Loma said, "well, I made $750k to fight a bum, I wanna triple my career high purse too. I want $2 million to fight Walters then" then everyone would be like


$500k, which would be his career high purse, for a dude coming off a draw, at his full weight limit, facing a Champion who's giving up his belt to move up and fight him with no weight clause, plus the fact Walters doesn't have a fanbase at the end of the day.....$500k is a good number.

If that's all there is on the table, and Loma is okay with splitting it at $500k/$500k and giving up his belt, and moving up, and not keeping a rehydration clause, I don't see what the problem is


Again, if Walters had a problem with his purses, why would he except $350k or less to face Sosa? Loma fought a bum and got $750k to face him...Walters was cool with his money he got to face Sosa though. If he wanted to make bigger money, why not ask for $600-$700k to face Sosa or Donaire?

Right...he wasn't the A-side in the Donaire fight and that was 3 fights & 2 years ago.

Their last fights as the A-Side against bums, Walters only peaked at 473k while Loma peaked at 657k.

Walters (career high $350k) getting $500k out of a $1 million pot, plus getting Loma to move up to 130, plus no rehydration clause. I don't see what's the problem

Yeah I was wondering about that. I was thinking Virgil was asking how his punches felt, so Ward could risk a little more and open up to get the KO. Didn't think about something bothering him.

I feel where you coming from, but Nah, it's not the same for me. Walters is at least being reasonable. BJS is just throwing out them big numbers cuz he scared as fukk and don't really want it with #GGGoodBoys

I also feel like Walters has done more in boxing whereas Saunders claim to fame is barely getting past Eubank Jr and boring half of the UK to sleep while fighting Lee.

I definitely think a Saunders/Golovkin fight is bigger in the UK, than it is in the states, but he knows he'd get his ass kicked either way so

It's just that I never took him serious to begin with since before he beat Lee he was acting all scared and shyt. Just seems like he was just about posturing and shyt. Nothing more than that.

I know damn well, BJS ain't gonna get 2.5 mil to fight Jacobs in America. Now if he were to beat him (which I doubt) then I wouldn't really have a problem with him upping his price.

I still think it comes back to HBO being cheap skates with another good fight on their hands in regards to Loma//Walters.
