So, Walters was offered $500k to fight Loma (career high is about $350k).

Loma was vacating his WBO Featherweight Championship, and jumping up to the full Super Featherweight limit (130lbs) to face Walters there.

$500k to face Loma is fair being that Walters is not a Champion, is not facing Loma at 126 OR at a catchweight, and is a lesser draw. Loma got $631k to face Gary Russell Jr (who got $421k himself) and is a Champion + the A-side of the matchup.

Walters asking for more money is :patrice:

For real.

750k is like the minimum Walters should accept.

This the same guy that sent Donaire and Darchiniyan to the bushes.

Hell, didn't Provodnikov get like 600k for fighting Algieri and he pretty much was just known for losing competitively entertaining fights before that (oh and beating Alvarado)

Right...he got $750k ,out of the $785k available for the both of them, to face the guy. He deserved it, because the person he was facing was a nobody:yeshrug:

Just like when Broner got $1 million out of a possible $1.05 million available to face Khabib Allakhverdiev, because Khabib was unknown to the US public.

It's not like Loma is scheduled to receive 2 million and Walters was gonna be stuck with $300k. Walters is receiving half of the money available ($500k) and is still demanding more....but isn't bringing anything to the table. No belt, no P4P standing, no true fanbase, and the fight coming off would include Loma giving up his title and moving up to Walters weight class with no catchweight/rehydration clause attached.

Walters doesn't have any leg to stand on here. He's already being offered more than he got to face Donaire to face Lomachenko, but he wants the entire pot:wow:

Nick Blackwell is in an induced coma following his loss to Chris Eubank Jr on Saturday night.

Blackwell lost his British middleweight title when referee Victor Loughlin halted the bout at Wembley Arena in the 10th round. He left the ring on a stretcher and with an oxygen mask on.

As of Sunday Blackwell remained in an induced coma, with the general secretary of the British Boxing Board of Control Robert Smith confirming the 25-year-old's status.

"I spoke to one of the doctors [Sunday] morning and he said there is a bleeding of the brain," he said. "He's in intensive care, he's in an induced coma and he is resting and being looked after by the experts.

"It's a very normal procedure. They put you in a coma to get the swelling to go down. There's no time-scale. Now it's just a matter of waiting and seeing."

Several famous boxing figures, including world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, Lennox Lewis, Barry McGuigan, Carl Frampton, Scott Quigg, Paul Smith and Jamie Moore, showed support for Blackwell on Twitter.

Why didn't he ask for 750k to face Donaire?

Walters is bringing nothing to the table and is still being offered a career high pay day....even more than he made against Donaire and is getting Loma to give up his belt & face him at the full 130 limit with no rehydration clause.

They are offering him $500k out of the $1 million available (he got about $350k to face Donaire). He's asking for the full $1 million:wow:

Donaire fight is different fam and you know that. He only had Vic as a suitable name on his resume before then. Now he got Donaire too. (by KO at that) Both fighters would be each others best opponent when you think about it. Loma vs Walters is a good fight for the fans.

Regardless of what we feel these nikkas deserve, HBO is still being cheap with this shyt. It's Krusher/Superman all over again.

Out of all the boxing that was on this weekend, I only saw the fukking Ward fight. :snoop:

Don't know why I keep seeing on blogs and different forums that he didn't look that good though.

I thought Ward boxed the shyt outta that nikka. Barrera prolly connected like 5 times clean. :mjlol:
Dude never tried to really go for it. He would just come forward and catch work. I wasn't expecting much from dude, but I thought he'd press a lil bit harder.

I don't think Ward will get as physical with nikkas at 175 like how he did at 168, but he got the skills to outbox cats to decisions. The Kovalev fight is 50/50 to me, but I'm leaning toward Ward winning it, but I think he'll be forced to dig deep to do so.

With that said, I'm not too sure that fight happens in 2016. I can't imagine Kovalev and Ward fighting 3x this year, but I hope I'm wrong.

@Newzz How can you not understand Walters wanting more money breh? Prize fighting

Usually it's me and @patscorpio saying dudes is making too much money for certain fights. ( ex: Berto getting 900k for Freddy Hernandez)

but for a big fight like this, I'm all for dudes making sure they getting paid good money, especially if it's reasonable.

He prolly only going to fight once or twice this year and asking for 1 mil to face Loma ain't some out of the world type figure. It's not like he asked for some crazy amount like 2.5 mil or some shyt.

On the other hand, Thurman ain't beat nobody on the level of Vic or Donaire, and this nikka wants Floyd type money to just face Porter. Yeah not Golovkin, but Shawn fukking Porter.
