Loma got 750k out of 785k available to face Koasicha.....same way Broner got 1 million out of 1.05 million to face Allakhverdiev. Walters should've done the same against Sosa:yeshrug:

You can only split what's in the pot:manny:

You know this fight is worth more than a mil fam? Either someone's not telling the truth about the #'s or HBO's being mad cheap. There's no reason why neither shouldn't be getting at least a mil each with maybe Loma getting a little more because he's more of a draw.

Yeah, I would think so.

You're only worth what they are willing to pay you though:yeshrug:

Don't forget, Verdejo is also on the card, so maybe he's eating into the pot:lupe:

If this was a PBC fight? Loma and Walters would both clear a mill easy:wow:

Stevenson. A southpaw with power is more dangerous to me. Especially since SOG uses a shoulder roll like defense at times.

I feel like Stevenson is the tougher fight for the 1st half, and Kovalev is the tougher fight in the 2nd half.

Ward is more skilled and quicker than both, but the quickness/speed gap isn't as wide against Superman. Both have great lefts, but Dre uses his right more effectively and its it's own weapon whereas Adonis mostly uses it for setting up the left or body punches. His lack of combos and punch variety is his biggest flaw, but it also fuels his biggest strength, which is that monster left that he knows how to set up so well to crack everybody with. He'll sell out with it early in hopes of getting you out of there or discouraging you from trying too hard. It's like a chain reaction because that causes him to gas out a little for the later rounds. Seen that against Fonfara. Ward can figure all that out no doubt, the question is can he do that without taking too much damage in order to sweep the 2nd half and win.

Kovalev is more patient with his impending aggression. I see him turning it up more late and being able to hang tough longer. That demonic final round against Hopkins is an example. Dude turned into a SNK boss during that round. Ward needs to dominate them early and middle rounds in case he has to dig deep and survive something big from Kovalev late in the fight.

With all that said, I'd still favor Ward to beat both.

I just think if he has any shaky or rough patches in those fights, they'd come early against Stevenson and late against Kovalev. :manny:

@TheLukieBaby i saw your pics with Khan...Jesus that mufukka looks big as shyt..whoever said that he will prolly have trouble making 147 again after this is prolly right

Yeah, @ChocolateGiddyUp said it:obama:

Im just thinking like, :ohhh: what if, due to the size now, Khan can take Canelo's power?:ohhh: That makes things VERY interesting, because then, a real skill vs skill Boxing match will take place:lupe:

Yep and then it'll quickly evolve into a battle of ring IQ's

and we all know Canelo boxing IQ is >>>>>>>Khan's

I honestly think Khan is getting too big though. I doubt he keeps his speed.

Cotto had shaky whiskers at 40 but the move up in weight helped him tremendous.
Not sure how much weight Khan's cutting but the move up will obviously help him physically

It is interesting to me because maybe I am biased but I don't think much of Stevenson's boxing skills overall. I feel he largely relies on winning with his left hand. Stevenson is a better athlete than Kovalev, but his boxing skills show that he was a late starter. I think Stevenson's advantage is his speed would be closer to Ward's, where Kovalev is much slower. Stevenson might get gassed vs. Ward or if Ward neutralizes his offense and has good counters, we might see Stevenson's shaking chin start showing.

Kovalev's issue with Ward will be speed. I think Ward will be able to see Kovalev's offense coming and neutralize it, even if I think Kovalev's overall skills are better than Stevenson's. Kovalev has a benefit were I think he can generate more power in more punches than Stevenson, not sure he can keep Ward within range to land them.

Ward beats them both IMO. Something I think will be really interesting if Kovalev and Ward fight is if Ward frustrates Kovalev and he can't get his usual offense off what does he do. Often times the big puncher packs it in and doesn't let his hands go because he is unsure of his target and gets tired of taking punches in return. Kovalev's mean streak might mean he goes for it even if it isn't working. The Hopkins fight won't be a precursor to how a Ward fight will go, but what it does show is that Kovalev is willing to think and game plan a fight for 12 rounds, which is what he would need to do for Ward.
