Showtime is reportedly trying to package Jermall Charlo's IBF title defense against Austin Trout on a Saturday night replay of Wilder-Povetkin.

A source close to the negotiations tells RingTV that Showtime is in the midst of trying to package a junior middleweight title fight between Jermall Charlo and Austin Trout alongside a replay of Deontay Wilder-Alexander Povetkin, a show that would be televised on May 21st. Charlo-Trout has not yet been officially announced, but both camps have approved the fight.

Promoter Alexander Ryabinksi, who won the purse bid for Wilder-Povetkin, said he wants to stage the fight in Russia. If that goes through, the fight would be aired Stateside on Saturday afternoon. Showtime would then replay the heavyweight title fight on Saturday night alongside this proposed junior middleweight battle between Charlo and Trout -- who may be scheduled to fight at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn according to the source.

If Showtime pulls this off, it will only add to their big plans for this Spring as announced a couple of weeks ago.

That fat fukk Abel at it again :mjlol:
As team #GGGoodBoys we have already established Abel runs his mouth and can't be taken seriously. Any arguments using his quotes aren't taken seriously. Gotta use receipts from GGG or Loeffler to come at us.

But yeah, Abel thinks he can create a media swing to convince Mayweather to return and fight him. :mjlol: Only chance I think Floyd comes back is if one of these 147 lbers does something special that makes it interesting. So far these guys aren't going after each other. Maybe a Cotto or Canelo lures him back with money. In general it will be all Floyd's decision to come back. No one is going to talk him into a fight.

I think he fights Khan if he beats Canelo

:lupe: are they sensing ward to lose?
At least Abel was reasonable in those quotes. Said Ward was a hell of a fighter and if he isn't ready for Barrera an upset could happen. Stated now may be the best time to beat Ward. He isnt used to 175 yet, has been inactive, and coming off an injury. Also put it on Barrera and said he is ready and this is his big opportunity. If he wins he has another mega fight possibility in Kovalev, if he loses he is 33 and will be hard to get these fights again. :obama:

1. You already know I threw Brook in the bushes

2. Tim Bradley Stans don't get to make fun of ticket sales :mjlol:
I didn't know Brook had the full bushes treatment, thought he was tier 2 choc.

This ain't about ticket sales, but Tim's never had a problem generating viewership. That was a wild flailing arm punch of a reach breh.
