Good comeback fight for both of em:ehh:

Wish it wasn't on a Spanish speaking channel though, but whatever:obama:

*edit* Wait....are they fighting each other or not? Cant tell:lupe:

Im not sure what juan diaz has to offer anymore. He is a featherfisted volume puncher. I remember he liked the idea of being a lawyer. I guess he saw shyt was real and abandoned that idea. Those classes arent a joke.

When i look at someone like a juan diaz. Smaller guy, decent houston fanbase, decent name, only lost to the best, featherfisted, etc. He has everything you could hope for as an opponent if you are in the welterweight division.

WBC strips Jorge Linares of lightweight title

After a fractured hand derailed Jorge Linares' mandatory title defense against Dejan Zlaticanin, the WBC vacates the title while naming Linares "champion in recess."

The WBC has officially stripped Jorge Linares of his 135 world title after a fractured hand he sustained during training forced him out of his mandatory title defense against Dejan Zlaticanin. With that title defense on the shelf, as Linares recovers from injury, the WBC will allow the 31-year-old Zlaticanin (21-0, 14 KOs) to face 39-year-old Emiliano Marsili (32-0-1, 14 KOs) for the now-vacant title.

This is sort of a tough break for Linares (no pun intended), but the move by the WBC was pretty much expected and the good news is that the WBC named Linares "champion in recess," which will allow him to immediately fight for the title once he's ready to return.

Zlaticanin, of Montenegro, is most recently coming of a fourth-round TKO win over Ivan Redkach last June, and also most notably bested Ricky Burns a year before that. Since then his promoter, Lou DiBella, has openly questioned whether or not Linares or Golden boy have ever wanted this fight against Zlaaticanin, and expressed his skepticism over the circumstances forcing Linares to pull out of the fight.

Meanwhile, Italy's Marsilii is probably a name that very few people, if any, are familiar with. He's undefeated in 33 professional fights, yes, but his last three opponents each had double digit losses, while he's also sporting a resume that contains five winless opponents. Boxrec has him rated No. 27 in the world, with the WBC having him rated at No. 2.

With those guys above now being set to fight (WBC #1 vs #2) and with Algenis Mendez being ranked #4 by the WBC. When E-Bunny beats him on 4/1, he jumps up into that #1 or #2 slot and 1 step away from the Lightweight Championship:demonic:

Crazy part about the Floyd joint is I actually believe that shyt. Floyd has come off as being easily intimidated outside of the ring so there's no reason not to believe this shyt.

And then the joint about running up in Rios crib and smackin' up his wife... :mjlol:

Remember that story of James Prince's goons running up on him in a gym in Texas on Mike Tyson's behalf? Mike ended up getting some dough from him because of that incident from what was said.

Didn't Bhop leave Showtime when Adonis signed with Haymon though? :dame:

Stevenson signed to Haymon in March 2014: How HBO lost Adonis Stevenson to Showtime

B-Hop's last actual fight on Showtime was April 2014....and after he beat Shuemenov, he was in discussions to fight Stevenson who was on Showtime at the same time: Bernard Hopkins on Adonis Stevenson, Floyd Mayweather Jr., Sergey Kovalev - Ring TV

Then in July 2014, B-Hop announced he wanted to fight Kovalev in November 2014, then Stevenson in early 2015: Bernard Hopkins wants Sergey Kovalev in November, then Adonis Stevenson.

September 2014, that's when the fight between Kovalev and B-Hop was announced SERGEY KOVALEV ON BERNARD HOPKINS CLASH: "HE'S AN ALIEN, BUT I HAVE TO SEND HIM TO THE MOON" || FIGHTHYPE.COM

That means, to me, from March 2014 - July 2014, B-Hop and Stevenson could've negotiated....that's almost 4 full months they were together on Showtime and nothing happened:manny:

But in that same article it was

"I'm a Showtime fighter and I'm loyal to Showtime and I'm loyal to Richard Schaefer and I'm loyal to Al Haymon and I'm loyal to Showtime," said Hopkins of Kovalev, who has a multi-fight contract with HBO, and is promoted by Kathy Duva of Main Events. "So what I'm saying to you is that is Kovalev comes over here on our side, if he crosses the street, then we've got a bed for him and we'll let him into the house."

Even without Kovalev, however, Hopkins said, "The circle will be complete."

"If I don't have the WBC belt, the person who is the man that beat the man is that guy," said Hopkins. "If you've got THE RING belt, then you have the IBF, the WBC and the WBA, then you're the man and you all know that. Unless Kovalev crosses the street, then he's just Kovalev."

Bhop still had the image ingrained of what Adonis did to Bad Chad in his head so he took his sweet science ass back across that street AWAY from the man who beat the man:mjpls:
