So apparently Charles Martin offered Anthony Joshua a match in April and was turned down.

Wonder why Joshua's team decided to turn down the fight when they're planning on taking a fight that's gonna lead to them fighting anyways. Why not just take the fight (and the belt) now :jbhmm:
He needs more seasoning. The Martin fight is winnable, but then he'll have to defend against top hw's, which might not be the best decision for him right now.

joshua is green as fukk. hes nowhere near fighting for a title even against charles martin. i thought whyte was going to stop him at one poimt he was so gassed and taking big body shots. lucky for him whyte cant punch.

I refuse to believe that Martin made a legit offer to fight.
Haymon already has Martin penciled in as a sacrificial lamb so Wilder can snag another heavyweight belt. They aren't going to risk that by having him fight Anthony Joshua.
Dudes like Jason "Green Thumb" Gavern are the only caliber of opponent that Martin will be fighting as he keeps that belt warm for Wilder.
