Charles Martin, in his biggest fight and biggest payday of his career, made $250k in fighting for the vacant IBF heavyweight belt. Anthony Joshua made a killing probably 400k against Whyte and was perceived as having some weak points in that fight. So I understand Martin going after him. Hearn said, if Joshua won a world title in his next fight, it might actually stop his development as a fighter because he's then being thrown into the big fights when he still has more to learn and still needs to be tested more.

I refuse to believe that Martin made a legit offer to fight.
Haymon already has Martin penciled in as a sacrificial lamb so Wilder can snag another heavyweight belt. They aren't going to risk that by having him fight Anthony Joshua.
Dudes like Jason "Green Thumb" Gavern are the only caliber of opponent that Martin will be fighting as he keeps that belt warm for Wilder.
i swear there's so much fukkery with charles martin being champion that you can believe that even a jobber who gets penciled in has a legit shot at lifting the belt off him

Any idea on BeterBeasts opp?

No name's yet but his manager said he's punching even harder after the surgery :takedat:

joshua is green as fukk. hes nowhere near fighting for a title even against charles martin. i thought whyte was going to stop him at one poimt he was so gassed and taking big body shots. lucky for him whyte cant punch.

@Tuaminator mentioned before the fight that Whyte had an injured shoulder

Joshua joked about it during the pre fight presser

Then right after the fight Whyte has shoulder surgery

I fukk with Joshua but that's some shady shyt and he struggled with a one armed prospect

"Kell's reaction last night was actually 'get me Golovkin at 155-pounds'. I started laughing and he said 'Im serious.' I actually spoke to [Golovkin's promoter] Tom Loeffler about it last night," Hearn told IFL TV.

I've called this since Martin won the belt...Im not gonna be surprised when it materializes this year.:manny:

I think Povetkin is gonna be offered and he will accept a step aside fee.

#BombZquad

called it :coffee:

Based on a rule the WBC has about unifications...it's possible Wilder might be able to unify with Martin before fighting Povetkin :patrice:
Designation of Mandatory Challengers
. The WBC shall always have the discretion to
designate a mandatory challenger by:
(a)
ordering a final elimination bout of two qualified contenders;
(b)
designating a Qualified Challenger as the official mandatory challenger
; or
(c)
ordering a unification bout with a champion of another organization
recognized by
the WBC

3.8
Special Bout
Sanction
(s)
. Under special circumstances,
including but not limited to as a bout involving an elite contender, a
champion of another organization, a match or tournament
that the WBC determines in its sole discretion would be in the best interests of
boxing, or any other applicable special circumstance, the WBC may order and/or
sanction any such bout, or each associated tournament bout,
as either a voluntary or mandatory defense
under such terms and conditions as the WBC may impose in its sole discretion
, and may order that any such special bout take precedence over and occur
prior to any previously designated mandatory defense.
Under the circumstances set forth in the preceding paragraph, any previously -
designated mandatory challenge may be ordered by the
WBC

no more ashley theophane?

Hopefully not. That is a horrible matchup, and even though my stanning levels will bypass that thought if the fight is officially announced, that's not the fight I want at all. That's definitely something that will take his Boxing credence lower in the minds of the people who already dislike him:snoop:

If he's gonna defend the Championship against someone, at LEAST let it be one against one of these names in the WBA Top 10:

1 JOSE BENAVIDEZ
2 MICHELLE DI ROCCO
3 MAURICIO HERRERA
4 RUSLAN PROVODNIKOV
5 KIRYL RELIKH
6 ADRIAN GRANADOS
7 OMAR FIGUEROA JR
8 LUCA GIACON
9 THOMAS DULORME
10 ALBERTO MOSQUERA

Looking at this list though....Im thinking it MIGHT just be Adrian Granados:ehh:

I see Omar Figueroa Jr as realistic as well though. That would be a good clash of styles and make for a good Main Event on Spike.:obama:

I would personally make AB vs Provodnikov and let beat Provodnikov's ass to give a big  to the people who keep doubting AB:demonic:
