More and more I'm proven right about my comments about fighters and money...its wonderful

You put it under "PBC Practices" though...when instead, it's a Boxing wide problem when it comes to fights the fans want to see made.

I don't see a problem on the Boxer's end. They need to try and get as much as they can:manny:

Leave it to an #OhioPlaya to step up to the plate:wow:

That would be a good fight too. I would be VERY impressed if J Rock runs through Willie Nelson:ohhh:

No, Vanes wasn't the 1st to beat Willie Nelson.

But what I meant by "running through" Willie Nelson...I mean J Rock dominating him. I would be impressed with that. Vanes didn't dominate Willie Nelson, he won a competitive match.
You're right about vanes not taking Willie ' s zero but he won 7-8 rounds in that fight..Willie got a lesson learned asswhoopin

If J Rock can thoroughly dominate Willie Nelson, unlike anyone else has been able to thus far, I would be extremely impressed with him, and he'd probably be ducked even further by other Boxers at 154.

That's a good matchup for J Rock and a step up imo from everyone else he's faced thus far. Willie Nelson is a good gatekeeper at Junior Middle:ehh:

Roach: I’d like Canelo rematch with rehydration clause

Posted on
December 23, 2015
by Ryan O'Hara

Freddie Roach called for a rematch once again between his fighter Miguel Cotto and newly-crowned WBC World middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez – with conditions.

Leading up to his unanimous decision loss to the Mexican superstar Alvarez, Cotto was stripped of the WBC World middleweight title for refusing to pay a $300K sanctioning fee.

Cotto (40-5, 33 KO’s) went on to lose the fight controversially as all three judges had the bout relatively one-sided, with one judge ruling Alvarez had won 11 of the 12 rounds.

Roach has yet to grasp the defeat, but in a recent conversation with Cotto at the Wild Card Boxing Club, the Hall of Famer presented an idea for a rematch.

“I’d like to get a rematch with a cap on how much weight we can gain,” Roach said to FightHub TV. “Because, he must have gained like 30 pounds. He went from a little guy to a big guy.”

“They owe us a rematch. I thought it was very close, I did think we outscored him, I thought we outboxed him, I thought the gameplan worked well,” he added.

The WBC allowed both Alvarez and WBA/IBF/IBO middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin to each take one voluntary defense before fighting each other – possibly in September – and Roach does not believe the fight should take place until they are given a chance at redemption.

“I don’t even think the GGG fight should happen until he fights us again,” Roach said. “11 rounds to one?? Someone has to ask these people [the judges], ‘What were you watching?’

“It wasn’t the same fight I was watching. That’s for sure.”

Roach affirmed that Cotto is not yet ready to retire, although the timetable for Cotto’s return remains undetermined.

“We don’t have anything going on right now, but we’re not done yet.”

Last week, WBO World welterweight champion Timothy Bradley said a third bout with Manny Pacquiao was not in his interest, albeit a bout with Cotto was.

“154 is a better weight for [Cotto], but for the right fight, I’m sure we could make 147, yeah. It could happen.”

Bradley (33-1-1, 13 KO’s) has not stopped at just Cotto, also expressing interest in fighting Alvarez for the middleweight belt.

Top Rank CEO Bob Arum said in November that he would not allow Bradley to take on Alvarez above 155 pounds.

im trying to remember when is the last time i can remember a fairly unknown jobber putting a top fighter through a fight like that

I remember Aaron Davis struggling with Curtis Summitt back in the day. Even thought he lost that fight.

I wouldn't mind seeing a rematch either. 11-1 was a horrible card

What were the other 2 scores breh? :pachaha:

Im talking about YOUR post...you said Vanes won 7-8 rounds. Cool, I think so too.

However, my point is (and it's proven with a quick glance back to last year in here) that it was a good competitive fight....which it was. Vanes didn't deliver an "ass whooping" in a fight you yourself are on record touting as a "good fight" with these nikkas "slugging it out" in a "dope ass fight" breh. That just doesn't make sense to call a fight that and turn around and say one of the fighters caught a lesson learned ass-whooping:heh:

Even compubox:

Vanes: 194/625 total punches (31%), 36/250 jabs (14%), 158/375 power punches (42%)
Nelson: 185/608 total punches (30%), 80/279 jabs (29%), 105/329 power punches (32%)

Nelson outlanded Vanes 7 rounds to 5 in total punches...Vanes outlanded Nelson 7 rounds to 5 in power punches.

Vanes Martirosyan vs. Willie Nelson - CompuBox

Vanes beat him, clear...no robbery, in a competitive fight. No ass-whoopings took place though. That's why I keep saying if J Rock was able to dominate Willie Nelson, I would be very impressed even more with him, because no one has ever dominated Willie Nelson.:ehh:
