Nicholas Walters thinks Vasyl Lomachenko is avoiding him

Nicholas Walters is looking for fights with big names

NICHOLAS WALTERS is open to fighting anyone but feels WBO world featherweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko is purposely avoiding him.

Walters lost his WBA world featherweight title on the scales for his last outing, a 12 round decision over Miguel Marriaga, and will fight Jason Sosa in a super-featherweight 10-rounder tomorrow night.

The Jamaican is also interested in facing lightweight Yuriorkis Gamboa and states he is willing to move to higher weights.

“Next year, anything is possible. I’m looking to fight the big names fighters. Gamboa? Anything is possible,” he said.

“Vasyl Lomachenko is not looking in my direction. But I’m here. I’m ready to fight. I’m not hiding from nobody. I’m a true fighter. I believe if I’m going to be the best, I have to fight the best. I’m not even concerned about fighting at heavier weights. I’ve been sparring guys at 140 and 145 pounds.”

Walters also turned his attention to Sosa, questioning the New Jersey native’s resolve.

“I’m a descendant of the gladiators. I come to fight,” he said.

“I’m not sure if the fight is going to go past four rounds. It depends if Sosa comes to fight. I’m sorry, but Sosa is not going do to me what I did to Nonito Donaire or Vic Darchinyan [Walters stopped them both].

“I’m a lion! I don’t know if Sosa is a lion. People are expecting a big fight, and I’m going give them a big fight. The Axe Man is very dangerous. He’s always prepared for a war.”
I like the way walters talks...talking like a fighter..nothing about business..he wants to wreak havoc at 130 :obama:...just need him to get his weight discipline under control...leave the beefpatty with coco bread alone gotdammit

Pat I wouldn't believe the Uchiyama v Walters talk

I believe Walters sentence is up after his fight tomorrow
He'll no longer be with top rank and only promoted by Warriors promotions

How bout Walters v Fortuna on free TV tho

damn everyone outbids them

Imma get to see my nikka Martin get his first strap
Brazeale/Mansour and Deontay do work all on the same night

This new era of Heavyweight boxing

:dead:

i mentioned something like this about a week or 2 ago. kathy wasn't gonna win that bid. that right there alone, shows you why the stevenson-kovalev fight won't happen.

but a all heavyweight card :banderas: this has been needed. i don't think we've seen anything like this since don put on that byrd-mccline, golota-ruiz, rahman-meehan card years ago.

yeah other than holyfield losing badly to larry donald that was a good heavyweight PPV card breh

byrd slugging it out with mccline (mccline should have won that)
golota dragging a decent fight out of ruiz (golota should have won that)
hasim beating the absolute shyt out of meehan..this was coming off a meehan who nearly beat lamon for his belt
TOS showing grit against the atomic bull

other promoters should really study don king..for all his faults he knew how to stack a card

You know damn well McCline ain't deserve that win :rudy: He got the early knockdown and looked good for a couple more rounds after that, until Bryd took over and started landing 5-6 punch combos on that nikka's big ass bucket head. The defense god #RapidFire had him out on his feet and ready to go, but it's hard to put someone away that's 65 more pounds than you with a 6 inch height advantage.

Fight was entertaining and competitive, but the champ rightfully took that win. McCline shot his load and got beat up the 2nd half of the fight.

That was an entertaining ppv card though, you got that part right.
