very very impressed with smith

this was the fisrt live body either of these guys faced, steady diet of lithuanians and hungarians, but smith was very superior even just in that first minute. pinpoint accuracy

I used to do em...but nobody was betting. Now, only on request:yeshrug:

Give me a second, odds will be up shortly:obama:
this was me, coli cash was a thing for a while but then the effort isn't worth even the 2 minutes when its just 1 guy betting on something. especially when you put up a lot of side options. had a lot of fun winding up tlr as a "big time mod" though

how do u think he and felix savon would match up vs ali, holmes?

i dont know. jorge luis gonzalez was a guy that went 220-13 in the amateurs and was one of the greatest cuban amateur boxers ever. gonzalez beat guys like lennox lewis and riddikk bowe in the amateurs and was getting brutally knocked out by guys like ross puritty and a past prime tim witherspoon in the pros.

they seemed very upright from little amateur video ive seen...
they were. but before the soviet system came over to cuba the cuban fighters used to fight in a more american or pro style. they were slicker and cuter and liked to fight inside. some of the greatest cuban fighters ever were around way before castro came to power and the soviet boxing system was introduced changing the way that cubans would fight for a very long time. but i think a lot of the newer fighters coming out of cuba now are a lot more individualized. yuriorkis gamboa doesnt fight like a guy that comes out of that cuban/soviet system. erislandy savon is a lot slicker and more americanized than felix savon. i dont know why that is. maybe its evolution. maybe its youtube.

400k on Bradley.

Odds don't yield much. Bradley's a heavy favorite.

But I didn't throw down a million because Rios does have some power and you never know.
I mean Thurman almost took an L off a lucky body shot, so...

yeah , cause if modern boxing went by strict queenbury rules(took points for excessive holding ) they would be in trouble or just lose to inside "crown to crown" fighters like hagler/duran/holyfield..etc.

Brehs I haven't been on my alcoholic steez since I got back in the gym but I got some high alc% CAC beer for this evening :ehh:
Ya I don't get this white beer being considered the best... every time I try one either it taste bitter or it feels like I'm drinking a milkshake as in its thick as fukk.

I'm totally fine with bud light or any American beer, I often hear that they taste like pisS or its like drinking water. Idk.

when you get a chance you should check out the last two rounds of teofilo stevenson vs francesco damiani. you can see the way that style looks against a guy thats just willing to be a dog.

Got a question for you @Yuzo

Any tips for when you're up against the ropes? My friend went back to the gym and is boxing more. Has a bit of skills, nice sharp jab and is good going forward. But whenever he's pressured backwards and ends up against the ropes, he doesn't seem to be effective at all. I never really was either.

How does one effectively fight off the ropes and cornered?
