@Newzz I dont mind you disagreeing with my opinion to some extent but that "mexican pride" comment has me dying...

thats why i cant put my son in the ring :mjcry: his mama from mexico, not enough black in him to sustain head movement

:heh:

I love Mexican fighters, I always keep at least 1 or 2 in my stanning stable ( #CaneloCartel :canelocartel:smile:, but yeah...it's the truth. It's like some would rather go out on their shield, getting KOd, then back off or try to clinch their way through trouble. It makes for great action and highlights, but it gets alot of them in more trouble than need be. I've noticed the Mexican fanbase love that style of fight, so their fighters grow up feeling that they have to fight that way. That style was all wrong for someone like Tito and others like him though.

And I want to let you know that the reason I quoted you & responded in here, was because I wanted to give you a real response without all the other coliseum "I talk boxing, but dont know shyt about boxing" posters chiming in providing skip bayless level discussion around it:salute:

Ima start doing that in general with good posters if we are discussing Boxing, bringing yall in here, so we can get some real discussion or breakdown from the regulars as well if they wanna chime in.:obama:

GGG still has business at 160 so why would it make sense to go up in wieght to chase a ward fight?

GGG career is going good and last time i checked ward is still looking for a opp and doesnt know if hes going to fight under a card.
Ward's "secret" ether looks funny in the light. He makes it sound like he met the 50/50 pay demands...had to come down 10%. So Ward thought it should be 60/40 in his favor? :mjlol: Also never directly addressed the weight issue, but basically confirmed he wouldn't go below 168, when he said he wouldn't fight Kovalev at 172.
And GGG turned down the fight a month ago? Sorry he already had his own PPV negotiated vs. a 160 pound champion. And was getting paid off and forcing a hard mandatory for the WBC belt. Cotto and Canelo either need to defend vs. GGG or give up the belt. That is the biggest PPV and money fight GGG could currently make.

Two belts at 160 within sight, and Lee with the third saying he wants a GGG fight. :myman:

#SOGGang should worry about getting their next fight. November 21st will be here quick and he still doesn't have an opponent.

the thing is, Duva and them rushed vargas because they thought his lifestyle would land him in jail or prison and they werent exactly wrong, winky wright as a test in a fight that he actually lost should have been a barometer for him to have more stay busy fights. Vargas to me, was a superior all around boxer to trinidad. Vargas just needed to shore up his defense which he was fully capable of doing. Im high on vargas because of things i used to hear when i was training for olympic glory in 95 :mjcry: by 00' i was 17 and didint give a fukk about anything grafiti hos and having a job.

I made the right choice. But the guys you heard about the most were Mayweather, Judah, in amatuer circles these dudes were like christ incarnate.

Ive been around this sport since i came to this country. I agree with your sentiment about him losing to all hall of famers, which is true, but the fact is, avoiding titos power was difficult but it wasnt exactly impossible.

And newzz you already know i dont do that back and forth shyt on here. i just agree to disagree. mostly because how i look like sitting with the mother of my children, back together, my son ready to go to the beach later, arguing with nikkas on here.

"baby what you doing? :mjpls: "

"arguing with nikkas about trinidads lack of boxing skills :demonic: "

He could've possibly been better defensively, but I just think with his temperment (kind of like Bradley), once that good shot landed on them, the gameplan would be tossed in the bushes and out would come El Feroz...guns blazing:wow:

I just couldnt imagine Vargas holding back and just attempting to outbox .....and NOT banging out with someone who's bringing the fight to him, regardless of their stature. I think if that's in your DNA, it's something you cant change.

Terry Norris was like that too. Even with his shaky chin, he was gonna come after you:yeshrug:

True, but I think you would've had to be a prime ATG (like B-Hop and DLH) in order to do so, which is why he steamrolled through everyone but them.

real talk, i been on boxingscene since i was still in the military this is my profile here and i seriously got burned out on talking about, that place really jaded my opinion on boxing forums as a whole. imagine arguing in mayweathers favor for literally LITERALLY 10 YEARS. i watched mayweather go from loved contender to p4p king, to the most hated man in the entire sports world and i was by his side the whole time no homo. I found boxing forums to be some of the most racist, hate filled garbage ass forums i had ever seen. when pacquiao rose to fame in 2009 is when it hit an all time low. its a big reason why i dont spend much time in the ring, not because i dont watch the sport, but go look at my post history i spent A LONG TIME on that forum. A LONG TIME.

The one good thing about that place is that you had some SERIOUS knowledgeable posters on there, seriously, you had guys who knew the sport in and out like crazy, @Knicksman20 was a guy i actually brought here from there. There was a guy on there named 'Silencers" and another guy named "TheGreatA' I mean those guy had knowledge and could see shyt i couldnt see their historical knoweldge of the sport was incredible. You had old timers posting there that sadly died but they knew the sport because they witnessed alot of shyt first hand. But they dont post anymore. Only guy who really knows his shyt and still posts from the old era is a guy named IMDAZED who is a master pacquiao troll and beats them at their own game and hes black so he sees through all the BS and you can tell hes highly educated. But thats why i hardly ever post. I have literally thousands of hours of fight footage on deck, but i just dont have the energy to talk about it like i used to. Boxingscene scarred me for life.

Right some ppl in here think he should fight ward or laughably peter quillin even though he brings nothing to the table since he gave up his belt

Brandon Rios has faced better competition at Welterweight than Thurman has
That is true but Thurman is all wrong for Brandon.
The beats Thurman would put on a one dimensional dude like Rios would be insane. Brandon has heart but he'd be a bloody mess by the time the fight was Keith was over.

I was a Vargas stan too and I was so conflicted when he and Tito fought because I was a Tito stan also. I eventually had to ride with Tito just because I knew in my soul that he was going to beat Fernando.

i do miss talking to silencers though, he wont post on the actual board, only responds in PM about once a month, he lives in thailand and i always wonder how hes doing. That guy is the greatest poster i have EVER seen. You could browse his post history and get a instant history lesson. That guy is only about a year older than me and destroys me in the knowledge department.

His eye on breaking down fighters, that guy legitimately could have been a matchmaker.

He was one of the few back in 2008 i asked him in pm "How legit is calderon roughing up de la hoya in sparring?"

his answer

"de la hoya fights small when he doesnt have to, i have no doubt calderons movement bothered him and he got tagged, look at when he fought steve forbes, he crouched, i have no doubt the pacquiao fight is going to a huge problem, he doesnt fight tall when he needs to against smaller guys"

this was something genuinely didint notice until he said it.

He also once broke down Cottos predictable body attack could be exposed by pacquiao if cotto doesnt use movement to bother pacquiao he may get stopped, there was this way he broke it down where he predicted DEAD ON how pacquiao could beat him because of some fukking fight he saw in like 2005 lmao, i think it was ricardo torres. The dude was a serious boxing genius. He was almost never wrong. He was ALWAYS one of the nicest guys on there too.
