As much as like last night fight that was a one sided ass whooping(although I though they would somehow give it a draw). It would a little more drama with rios vs ruslan.brandon rios on twitter saying he wants prov or matthyse. he really wanna die.
yea ruslan vs rios would be much better than maKNEEsay/rios. maKNEEsay/rios would be a replay of last night except it would have a much worse result. rios doesn't have prov's power so lucas would be more willing to sit down on his punches and put some combo's together. shyt would get ugly fast for rios.As much as like last night fight that was a one sided ass whooping(although I though they would somehow give it a draw). Saturday night at the Valley Forge Casino Resort in Valley Forge, PA dangerous veteran Darnell “Deezol” Boone (21-21-4, 10 KOs) pulled the upset with a come from behind crunching 6th round TKO victory over rising super middleweight Phillip “The Real Deal” Jackson Benson (15-2-1, 14 KOs). In the co-feature of the nine bout card promoted by Kings Promotions, undefeated welterweight David “Day Day” Grayton (11-0, 9 KOs) captured a hard fought, but one sided unanimous decision victory over Grayson Blake (6-4, 2 KOs).
Although his .500 record fails to impress, Boone’s accomplishments in the fight game are many. A knockout victory over reigning WBC light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson, a win over Boxcino winner/GGG challenger Willie Monroe Jr., a split decision loss to Sergey Kovalev, he knocked down Andre Ward, and he’s knocked a handful of hot prospects out of the unbeaten ranks. Before this fight, Phillip Benson Jackson stated “I should be fighting ten or twelve round fights but they keep giving me these kind of fights. This is just another fight for me.” Maybe he took Darnell Boone too lightly.
Early on, the shorter Boone kept Phillip Jackson Benson from opening up, by staying busy with jabs and movement. Benson Jackson stepped up the pace in the second round and forced Boone to trade with him. Though Boone was elusive, the heavy punches reigning down from the taller Benson Jackson in rounds three and four were doing their damage. Boone wouldn’t quit though and as he snapped short shots while on the retreat. In the closing minute of the fifth, Benson Jackson wobbled Boone with an uppercut and retreated to a corner. Benson Jackson snapped three lefts that spun Boone in the corner but the bell sounded before the finishing touches could be landed. It looked like only a matter of time as the sixth began with Boone on the retreat. Boone’s jabs were allowing him room but Benson was looking to land the final shot. Jackson dropped his hands to swing a wide hook. Boone unleashed a crunching right from out of nowhere that landed clean on the jaw. Benson Jackson never saw it coming and collapsed backward to the canvas landing with his feet underneath his back. At the count of seven he wobbled as he desperately tried to beat the count. Surprisingly he rose to his feet, but fell backwards toward the ropes at the count of ten, forcing referee Gary Rosato to call a halt to the contest. Boone’s corner erupted as the jumped into the ring. The official time of the stoppage was 1:27 of the fifth round, giving Darnell Boone the upset victory.
“I had been trying to land the shot and it was hitting him on the shoulder,” exclaimed a satisfied Boone. “I figured if I kept jabbing him, his eyes would move and I threw the shot and boom. He went nap time. That was my money shot. I knocked out Adonis Stevenson with it. I also knocked out my last opponent (Dionisio Miranda) with it. I have been hitting people in the gym with it and hurting them. I have been working on that shot for a long time and I am just now perfecting it.”
