maybe so but its a growing list of things about golovkin that need to be called into question. we had to do it with margarito retroactively and looking back it all made sense why he was doing things like ripping fighters ears off in fights. but if you dont follow things blindly you dont have to look back retroactively. and pacquiao never knocked guys out cold with a arm punch.

He isn't all hype imo, he does have some skill but not on the level Fat Dan and his stans love to brag about, elite footwork , elite at cutting off the ring .

a long time ago fighters used to throw a right hand then bring the right arm across the face like a face bar to catch the counter uppercut inside the palm of their glove. they did that because fighters a long time ago used to shoulder roll the right hand and come back with the uppercut like toney and floyd a lot. thats a old school move.

if geale had done that then he would have caught golovkins right hand in the palm of his right glove but fighters dont do that anymore.


bringing that right arm across your face after you throw a right hand blocks a check hook over the top of your right hand with your arm too. thats the only way to block a left hook without your using right glove is to bring your arm across. fighters get hit with so many check hooks over the top of the right hand in this era and dont bring that arm across.

he is good, but the hype around him is crazy. That dude is already top 3 on most people list and he hasn't fought anybody. Loma and Rigo get looked over easily and not mentionned but ggg gets so much praise without even proving himself yet. Everybody's ducking dooooooe
