Saw it the same way breh...
I also had Herrera winning but felt the fight could go either way which is why I wasn't mad about the decision...When you feel the fight can go either way the champ rightfully always gets the benefit of the doubt...In order to dethrone a champ you have to beat him convincingly, there can be no doubt...Herrera worked him and gave swift all he could handle but he didn't do enough IMO...This is why I always had problems with Leonard getting the W over Hagler but Herrera at least busted swift up...Leonard didn't even leave a mark on Hagler...Marvin was dancing in the ring after the fight looking like he could go 15 while Leonard look like he was going to pass out if they had to go another round...My pops and I both were like when those cards were read...
I feel what you saying, but I've always felt SRL beat Hagler fair and square on some 115-113 type shyt. Marvin just took to long to get going and had to play catch up all night. Competitive fight that was close, but I never felt Hagler won more than 5 rounds tops.
Some people's faces are just tougher than others and don't get busted up like that over the course of 12 rounds. I can't hold that against them in a close fight.
