Saw it the same way breh...

I also had Herrera winning but felt the fight could go either way which is why I wasn't mad about the decision...When you feel the fight can go either way the champ rightfully always gets the benefit of the doubt...In order to dethrone a champ you have to beat him convincingly, there can be no doubt...Herrera worked him and gave swift all he could handle but he didn't do enough IMO...This is why I always had problems with Leonard getting the W over Hagler but Herrera at least busted swift up...Leonard didn't even leave a mark on Hagler...Marvin was dancing in the ring after the fight looking like he could go 15 while Leonard look like he was going to pass out if they had to go another round...My pops and I both were like :wtf: when those cards were read...

I feel what you saying, but I've always felt SRL beat Hagler fair and square on some 115-113 type shyt. Marvin just took to long to get going and had to play catch up all night. Competitive fight that was close, but I never felt Hagler won more than 5 rounds tops.

Some people's faces are just tougher than others and don't get busted up like that over the course of 12 rounds. I can't hold that against them in a close fight.

those 3 surpassing hamed are debatable in a way

but froch needs like a career defining type victory..either by beating ward and become lineal at 168 cuz doing that would mean he would have beaten every significant super middle in the last 5-6 years or bumping up off whoever is lineal/undisputed between bhop/superman/kovalev at 175 before i think he deserves entry into the HOF....thats the thing that kept me from putting him in the P4P top 10

I feel the same way. Froch to me will always be that crude tough guy that goes life and death with just about damn near everyone he fights. He's only campaigned at one weight class and although he's fought the best there, he' still has no single great victory in that division. He's got some solid wins, but nothing above the level off Hamed beating Kevin Kelly or Hatton beating Tyszu. Calzaghe's best win is Hopkins and most are split on who won that.

I mean if nikkas wanna be real about it, Bradley has done more to be in the HOF right now, than Froch has.

Whenever the fan/media favorite or popular guy wins a close fight, it'll always be looked at as some type of gift. It's just the way it is.

More people relate to Hagler's story and his come up than they do to the golden child that Leonard was.

GGG vs Murray next

I heard that this fight was probable, but didn't realize it would be signed so quick. Props to both guys. This is an excellent matchup. Murray is a quality fighter and top 5 or so at MW.
I don't know what the consensus was on the Sergio fight - I don't remember my scorecard, but I do remember being :patrice: when the scores were announced.
