Former four division world champion Roy Jones Jr. (58-8, 41KOs) will continue to have fights in Russia, says the boxer. On Friday he returns for his third fight on Russian soil, as he takes on Hany Atiyo (14-2, 10KOs) in a cruiserweight fight at Basket Hall in Krasnodar. Since 2011, 45-year-old Jones only fought once on American soil and now five times on foreign soil.
"Of course, I plan to have a few more fights in Russia in the future. In particular, I believe that one day I will return to Krasnodar [to fight here again]. Generally, in the near future I would like to work more closely [with Russian boxing] students and I want to help a Russian boxer become a world champion," said Jones.
