140 was Hatton's best weight. I also fighting in England with a different referee would've affected the fight differently, because Joe Cortez was in the way the entire fight.

And Hatton was doing good up until the 6th round against Floyd.

I know 140 was where Hatton won his best fights

What difference would the Floyd fight be at 140 then 147...Floyd was a small WW he wasn't a big puncher so its not like Hatton was over his head against a bigger opponent at 147

Hatton was a cow in between fights so saving himself 7 pounds to lose benefited him

140 or 147 it wouldn't of made a difference

Just like had the fight with PAC been at 147 it wouldn't of made a difference

Im saying the entire equation (the weight class, venue, and referee) would've contributed to it being a different and more difficult fight for Floyd imo....not just the weight.

At 140, with a different referee, in England...Hatton would've stood a better chance against Floyd. As it stood, he did well up until the 6th round. I believe had those circumstances been different (140, Manchester Arena, Dave Parris as referee) the fight would've been a lot harder for Floyd than it was.

As far as Pacquiao goes, it didnt matter what weight class or anything (venue/referee), because Hatton's style is all wrong for Manny Pacquiao. He was a come forward brawler with no speed or defense or head movement while Pac was still in his prime.

Prime Pacquiao KOs Prime Hatton everytime they match up

Dan Rafael chat wrap 8/29:

- No official opponent for Cotto yet. Lee is being considered.
- If Bradley doesn't land the Cotto fight, TR doesnt have anything for him immediately.
- GB stated they wanted 3 Canelo PPV's this year. Still have not announced if his next fight is officially PPV or not.
- Kirkland still the frontrunner to get Canelo next.
- Good chance Victor Ortiz may never fight again.
- Bob Arum has been talking Manny and Floyd for years. These talks are nothing other than to build hype for Pac-Algieri.
- Beterbiev beat Kovalev twice in amateurs. Still thinks he may be moving too fast.
- Ward's team is in a fantasy world. He cannot get Goosen to sign off on fights right now.
- Roach said the number 1 fight he wants for Manny is Danny Garcia...but cannot be made.
- Predicting under 900k buys for Mayweather-Maidana 2.
- If GGG wins he will be the mandatory for Cotto. Despite the fact someone with a belt from another organizing body cannot be a mandatory for another belt.
- HBO has shown no interest in doing something like ShoExtreme.
- Korobov has signed for the Quillin fight. Quillin has not. He is sensing some Haymon funny biz.
- Beltran-Crawford still being worked on.

Bu-bu-but....I thought it was Ward's fault he cant get fights:to:

:camby::pacspit:

#SOGGang told yall, just like SOG said, that GOOSEN is the reason that Ward hasnt been in the ring. He will not make fights for Andre Ward or present any offers to him, so in turn, Andre Ward cannot fight anyone:rudy:
