Which means that SOG's camp is foolish to think that Ward is gonna get in the ring, because he cannot get Goosen to sign off on a fight. Simple and easy to understand.

I dont agree with your characterization. This is a straight business deal: Here are millions to do the fight under the existing agreement. Or here are even more millions to give us the ability to do one more event within the term of the exisiting agreement, not technically an "extension." It is up to Chavez.

GGG can't get any of the top guys to fight him at 160 and that for the right fight/payday he would go to 168. He accepted the terms of the Chavez fight at 168 and it was Chavez who punked. So all he has to do is keep fighting the best guys who will get in the ring with him and stay active.

Hatton vs Malignaggi says differently breh



Hatton arguably lost all 3 of his career fights at 147. Lost to Floyd, lost to Senchenko, and should've taken that L from Luis Collazo. He was not the same at 147 as he was at 140.

Thats what im saying... his rough tactics didnt work against bigger opponents. He was still the same fighter at the higher weight, arguablly better due to not being as drained.

And paulie always had trouble when he got swarmed.

Im saying the entire equation (the weight class, venue, and referee) would've contributed to it being a different and more difficult fight for Floyd imo....not just the weight.


At 140, with a different referee, in England...Hatton would've stood a better chance against Floyd. As it stood, he did well up until the 6th round. I believe had those circumstances been different (140, Manchester Arena, Dave Parris as referee) the fight would've been a lot harder for Floyd than it was.


As far as Pacquiao goes, it didnt matter what weight class or anything (venue/referee), because Hatton's style is all wrong for Manny Pacquiao. He was a come forward brawler with no speed or defense or head movement while Pac was still in his prime.

True spit, who would you take in a fight between cotto bradley? Since it'd be for the 160lb title I'd imagine Timmy would come in around 154 and Cotto 158, with both dropping a few lbs. I think that'd be a hell of a fight, Cotto would have big problems with Timmy's speed and stamina. Desert storm has an iron chin but idk if he could take basically 154lb shots

Breh....thats all Im saying. Floyd vs Hatton would've been different with a more lenient referee and in a hostile environment at Hattons best weight. Floyd wouldve still won like he always does, but Cortez affected the fight on Hatton's side.

Hatton wouldve lost of course (he lost to Collazo for crying out loud), but the fight wouldve been different and a little more difficult is all Ive said.
